I keep going back and forth between Skipper's Canteen and the Wave. Which one should we do? Every time I think I know, I second guess and change my mind. 4 of us for dinner. Myself, my husband, my 20 year old daughter, and my 16 year old son. This is for next Sunday. My family is no help. They think either one looks good.

What meal? Who’s dining? When? Additional details would be helpful.

Skipper's is amazing. Great CMs, amazing food and unique atmosphere. I love the Wave, but Skipper's beats it hands down.

So if you enjoy the Jungle Cruise, I would go with Skipper’s Canteen. Try and get the China or butterfly rooms to the sides - lots to see. Most of the cast plays along with the theme and Jungle Cruise humor. The menu is quite tasty, and desserts are good. They have a good mix of wine and NA drinks.
The Wave is nice but it’s just a restaurant, and it can get quite noisy during prime dining hours. The food is good though.
Enjoy your trip m

It would totally depend on what I had planned after dinner. If leaving MK for the day, either. Though I feel like The Wave is better for entrees and it's a nice, calm respite. If there are evening plans in MK, Skipper Canteen.

We had dinner at both last week - both were wonderful! We had not been to the Wave in about 4 trips, & we were pleasantly surprised with new menu additions (the new pork chop main course was fantastic & DD13 had the bacon & eggs app....she loved it!)

Sorry no help, as both were great meals! I agree w/ PP - base it on what you have planned for the day/evening.

These are two of my favorites. I'd vote for doing both! Maybe The Wave for breakfast and Skipper Canteen for dinner.

I have not been to either so I did not vote.... We are going to Skippers in Sept ( my DD24 had been before and loved it- that and Brown Derby chicken sandwich for lunch are her only must dos of this trip). I think part of my decision would be based around your plans for the day.as well as where you are staying? if you have a car etc. I'm big on convenience and trying to minimize the travel time factor. Also how long your trip is, how many days you will be in the parks, how often you go to DW etc. If it's your only MK day, that would be reason to lean more towards Skippers. I try to coordinate our resort dining plans to when we are either heading into or out of the parks to coincide with the rest of our plans for the day.

We just recently ate at the wave and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten at wdw. Dh agreed and said he can’t wait to go back

Skipper's wins slightly because it has the advantage of being right in the park which is always convenient. Also we are big Jungle Cruise fans so we appreciate the theme and corny humour.

The Wave is good but I don't think it is worth leaving the park for. I'd definitely do Skippers.

Both are excellent choices! Skippers food was delicious but just a note that everything I tried was a bit spicy (I love spicy but something to be aware of if you are sensitive to spicy foods). The imagineering in skippers is super fun.
There is a lot to see and I'd suggest you do some research before hand on the restaurant's decor (lots of fun imagineering facts). The restaurant feels more Disney to me. (Ate there 1.5 years ago)
Now for the Wave: My husband and I just talked (last night) about how the Wave may have been the best meal we have had at Disney. This was a year ago and we both had salmon. The decor is kind of dated and bland (my opinion) but still nice. The dining experience was relaxing.
If your family is adventurous I would go with skippers. If the food is more important I'd recommend the Wave.
We are doing both again this year! Hope you enjoy wherever you pick!
