I have two boys (12 & 14). My shopping is done for them, but I usually put $$$ in a card and put it into their stockings along with the gifts under the tree.
Now, every weekend me, DH, SIL & BIL get together and play board games. Sometimes the boys will join in and enjoy playing with us. Mostly my younger son. I'm just wondering if I should still put money in their stocking or take the money that I would have put in there and use it to buy a few board games as a gift "for the family"
What would you do?

"Game deprived" I'm right there with you. I love board games but now that there are only 3 of us to play it just seems pointless. Sometimes I can get DD16 to invite her friends to play, but really, how many teenage girls want to sit around the table with their friend's mom playing dominoes. I love Scrabble but no one in my family can spell worth a darn, except me, so it's no fun at all. Same with Trivial Pursuit. DH is decent at it(we are both very well read) but my kids? Clueless. Oh, Clue! They CAN play that well but I get very tired of that.
Although I still was NOT able to buck up the money for the used game on that quite yet.
