Ok, I have gone a bit mad with my ADR's and suddenly realised that I have 15 TS booked. I'm not too tight to pay OOP, but from what I have read, you get more than enough food on the DDP without adding extra meals, so...which one would you cancel?

Tues 30th Oct Crystal Palace 8.10
Wed 31st Oct 'Ohana 6.50
Thur 1st Nov Le Cellier Lunch 12.50
Fri 2nd Nov Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner 5.00 (MNSSHP)
Sat 3rd Nov Tusker House 9.05am and Saana Dinner 5.00
Sun 4th Nov Hoop de Doo Dinner show 6.15
Mon 5th Nov Rose and Crown for Illuminations 7.05
Tue 6th Nov Mama Melrose Dinner package for Fantasmic 1.20
Wed 7th Nov Akershus Lunch (after BBB in the morning) 1.30
Thur 8th Nov
Fri 9th Nov Chef Mickey’s 5.00 (MVMCP)
Sat 10th Nov Rainforest Café (AK) Dinner 5.00
Sun 11th Nov Garden Grill Dinner 5.45
Mon 12th Nov 1900 Park Fare Breakfast 8.35 (flight leaves at 6.30pm)

I am wondering about Liberty Tree Tavern so we don't miss too much of MNSSHP or 1900 Park Fare on our last day.

What do you think?

Mama Melrose, we had a disappointing meal here in the summer and as it's for lunch you will have a long wait for Fantasmic. I'm sure you would still get a decent seat without the meal package.

Tues 30th Oct Crystal Palace 8.10 Would definnitely keep - our traditional every trip meal and being in the park before opening is fantastic
Wed 31st Oct 'Ohana 6.50 iit's fine - not amazing but fine. We would ditch it but if you've never been before then it's worth a go
Thur 1st Nov Le Cellier Lunch 12.50 another favourite for us and brilliant value for a dining plan credit. Definitely keep this one
Fri 2nd Nov Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner 5.00 (MNSSHP)although we like LTT I think it's better to do counter service at a MNSSHP party. as you can enter on your ticket at 4pm when others start to leave the park it's nice to wander and graze plus with all the candy you don't really want a heavy meal. Therefore this is one I would cancel
Sat 3rd Nov Tusker House 9.05am and Saana Dinner 5.00 never done either so can't comment
Sun 4th Nov Hoop de Doo Dinner show 6.15 great night out would definitely hang on to this one. We've done it twice and all of us enjoyed it both times.
Mon 5th Nov Rose and Crown for Illuminations 7.05 never been
Tue 6th Nov Mama Melrose Dinner package for Fantasmic 1.20 we did this last year and had a much bbetter meal than the average review would leave you to believe. plus unless it's changed you get three courses for one credit and your preferred seating - a must-do
Wed 7th Nov Akershus Lunch (after BBB in the morning) 1.30 it's fantastic for the characters and the food is ok too
Thur 8th Nov
Fri 9th Nov Chef Mickey’s 5.00 (MVMCP) on the same theory as mnshhp would cancel this and go to the park instaed
Sat 10th Nov Rainforest Café (AK) Dinner 5.00 glorified burger bar
Sun 11th Nov Garden Grill Dinner 5.45 never been
Mon 12th Nov 1900 Park Fare Breakfast 8.35 (flight leaves at 6.30pm) long story but went four times and had a dreadful meal each and every time. no big deal on the characters at breakfast (did that twice) either. Wouldn't go back if you paid me!

Whatever you decide have an amazing trip (ps we always end up paying for about 7 oop too and then end up wasting a couple of cs credits.

I would lose le cellier, we on,y go for the cheese soup and you can get that in the food and wine festival

The steaks are just as good anywhere else

Also we have never done ltt so i would scrap that too :-)

I'm thinking along the same lines regarding LTT, but think I'll keep Chef Mickey's for the experience. Haven't read a lot of positive reviews for the PF breakfast either.

I'd drop Mama Melrose. It's the only meal I have eaten at Disney that I would avoid to repeat. All 4 members of my family disliked the meal & that holiday there was only 3 or 4 places that even 1 of us disliked.

I see you're only doing it for the package but I would give up the package & just queue for Fantasmic. I don't think the package is really all that wonderful.

I would cancel LTT as you would be missing some precious time of MNSSHP, Counter service meal is the way to go on this night and we have it as early as possible so that we don't miss any party time.

Difficult to say as we all like different, there are a few I would not do there.

I would not do a TS dinner on a party night, Far too much valuble time.

I have to agree with others about Mama Melrose 3rd time eating there this year was the worst. You can't even choose a dessert anymore, they bring out a selection for the table which none were great.

One breakfast per trip is enough for me so I could lose them.

Le Cellier, has it changed to 2 credits for lunch yet? I wouldn't do it at 1 never mind 2. It was great a few year back but our last visit was very poor.

Difficult, we booked Liberty as a lunch this time as the evening menu there is so limited, we will have a nice lunch, then a CS meal later ad probably use a snack credit for a nice ice cream. Le Cellier as a single credit was good, as a double..... mmm, no. I would book a single credit, San Angel Inn if you can get it, we are trying the Japanese place this time for a change.

Have you tried the evening meal or just seen the menu? Its DW's fave meal in Disney, Turkey dinner is her favourite meal. The beef was excellent also, plus its all you can eat.
Had 2 evening meals there and would definitely go again just not on a party night.

We did Le Cellier lunch and loved it, at one credit. At two though we will give it a miss and try Via Napoli I think :)

:goodvibes

I would ditch Ohana - really was disappointing.

I would keep MM as the only way we see F! Is with the package or if there is space at the 2nd show if there is one. No way would I want to or be able to stand in that line (I have a habit of passing out if I have to stand in one place for too long especially if it is a bit warm!)

Breakfast might be a pain on the last morning with packing up and checking out.

We have eaten early dinner at LTT before MNSSHP several times and enjoy it. Wish they hadn't changed the dessert though ;)

le cellier has been getting really really bad reviews over the past year, so that's probably the one i would ditch (in fact i did ditch ours there)...

lose ltt its awful....bfast on last day is a nice goodbye, or switch CM dinner to bfast on last day???
pay oop for kids meals? im suprised u ve skipped 50s and sci fi... both are must do meals for us!!
if i had to skip anything tho it d be rainforest cafe.... burgers you can eat anywhere, for us it was sensory overload for josh, moving noisy stuff and dinner= bad news!!! and if at ak id rather do tusker house or yak and yeti lol xx

I have to disagree with some above posters. Mama melrose + fantasmic was a hit with my family
Ohana is a must do
and chef mickey was so disappointing.

As always, your dream can be somebody else's nightmare. Sometimes the things you dislike the most at a restaurant is something another party will be falling in love with.

There is no restaurant you can easily cross off that list

but if I had to choose, I'd probably consider how ADRs could be disrupting my day at the parks.
for example, a TS Dinner during a party is IMO a big waste of time and money.
As a PP said, you can come in at 4pm. Going to a restaurant after that time means you're going to miss out on the party.

You have 2 ADRs at monorail resorts at 5 on party days. Which means you'll be out of the restaurants 6:30ish. Then at security and the gates of MK around 7pm ... you and over half of the party guests ... it might sound nice to plan and be at the gate at opening time, it was a smart choice and timing, but in reality you'd better be in the park before the 6/7pm rush at the gates.

I would at least ditch one of those (if not both) and replace that with a QS in the park

Personally I would cancel 1900 Park Fare. Each time Ive been Ive been hugely disapointed.

I am still undecided. Like previous posters have said - we all want different things. I am edging towards cancelling LTT, mainly because the MNSSHP is an important hightlight of our trip. I am pretty sure that Le Cellier is still 1ts for our trip - I definitely don't want to use 2ts!

Tracy, I am sorely tempted by 50's Prime Time and Sci-fi, but I must resist re-jigging the plan!
