we have 9 ts credits for us to use so i need to pay for 2 of these oop
I was thinking....maybe narcoosses'? just wanted to add....we are not really big eaters.

I agree about Narcoosse's but I'd first look at their menu at allearsnet.com first and see how much it would cost OOP and then decide.

THen I'd pick a cheap meal. That would be breakfast, IMHO. I'd pay for either CP or Kona Cafe.

Have fun!

I would pay for the Kona breakfast OOP. I would check the prices and see which would be cheaper Prime Time Lunch or Crystal Palace Breakfast. Depending on what you order at PT it may be cheaper than the breakfast buffet.

Kona cafe for breakfast is definitely the cheapest out of all your other meals. Whispering canyon might come out to be your second choice to pay OOP.

The usual answer to a question like this is to pay for your 2-credit meal (Narcoossee's) OOP. But since you have a TS, non-buffet breakfast on your list (Kona Cafe), where you get so much less value for your TS credit, that makes it a closer call. (By the way, breakfast there is awesome, I just wouldn't use a TS credit for it unless I had no other choice.) You have to add up what you'd spend at Narcoossee's, and compare it to what you'd spend at Kona breakfast + either CP ($19 per adult includes NA beverage + T&T) or 50sPT (entrees $13-$16, bev. not included).

You say you're not big eaters, which to me means that especially if you were paying OOP, you might choose to skip appetizer and/or dessert. But since Narcoossee's is so highly regarded (full disclosure - I haven't been there), I could see that being a place where you'd at least want to order appetizers or desserts, maybe to share amongst the table. The appetizers at 50sPT don't wow me. But maybe you would want to get one of those yummy desserts, though (or at least have the freedom to do so with your TS credit if the mood struck you), so that sort of tips the scale toward paying OOP for Kona breakfast and CP breakfast. JMTC.

After using the DDP three times my advice is, your last two meals.

A) You might miss a meal for countless reasons.
B) You might find part of your party is not really wanting to eat a big meal at some point and end up not using 1 credit here and there (even more likely if you are not big eaters, since an app+entree+dessert is often enough to share)
C) By the end of the trip you may be sick of food and sick of spending so much time sitting in restaurants.

A, B, and C all really amount to the same thing, your TS credits might last longer than you think they will. Same thing with CS. Never pay oop for a CS meal because it is "inexpensive" because they are hard to run out of.

Now if you can also plan one of your less expensive meals for the end of your trip, that is a bonus. We also plan a sit down breakfast on our departure day.

thanks everyone for your replies...

i will just wing it, maybe one day my dd or I would just want an appy or salad as a meal so I would pay oop for that. When it is really hot we really don't eat that much so this would be fine for us. so then right there we would save 1 ts credit. at the end of our trip if we don't have enough credits to eat at kona for breakfast we will either cancel our adr or go and pay oop it depends if we get sick of eatting all of that food:lmao: !!
