Are you guys serious? You actually care how many homes McCain owns? This didn't seem to be a problem when Sen. Kerry ran for president, and he owns more than one home, so why is this a problem now?

It's been my personal experience IRL that the folks with a substantial amount of money are less elitist than those with less.

DH and I believe that the ones with less have a "something to prove" attitude, while the ones with more are comfortable with who they are and therefore have less to "prove".

Just a serious personal observation.

My dad was saying that Cindy McCain was an elitist to me the other day. Then he left to go golfing near his summer home on Cape Cod. Ah, it's all relevant...

So Cindy McCain's family started a small company and made it extremely successful. They were able to provide for themselves and pass on to their children a better life. None of them have had to live off the government and they have provided jobs for other people. The American dream personified! That's a bad thing because?

People call them elitist? Good for them! I hope they enjoy every last car, vacation and cent they have! How anyone can say a family that worked their way up and a man who went through what McCain has are elitist is beyond me. Begruding people their success really is not attractive to me.

But it a free country and we all have our own opinions.
