I voted for FQ. Whether or not something is romantic is subjective. We love the themeing of the FQ. I do not care for the themeing of Riverside which reminds me of the old south. Somepeople care for it some do it. So which type of themeing do you like better? That is really the question. If you like each equally then I would still go for FQ because it is less spreadout then Riverside and you are first to be picked up and dropped off on the bus loop.

No matter which resort you choose I hope you have a great trip.

aaahhhh, but strolling along the river in the moonlight next to the azaleas and rhododendrons at POR can't be beat for romance. If you do choose to go to POR, go for the mansions. They would be more romantic. There is not much traffic at the quiet pools either, and that might give you an opportunity for a late night swim by yourselves.

I voted for FQ. I think this resort is very romantic with all it's quaint courtyards and dimly lit paths to walk at night.

I also think FQ is more romantic. The courtyards are so inviting, and the atmosphere is just so quaint. It's New Orleans without the drunk people. ;) :D The river also runs along FQ, and you can always walk around both resorts. FQ is more intimate since it's so much smaller.

The FQ "streets" lit at night... not much more romantic than that!

We spent part of our honeymoon at POR and I can't imagine anything more romantic. The quiet paths to stroll along at night were more than I imagined, We are going back for our 1st anniversary this year.

IN MY OPINION.... you can't beat AB at the POR. We were there this last week and it was very romantic. But it is all in what you think is romantic. Our room was secluded and off the major paths so there was hardly anyone walking by. The mansions were very pretty but seemed a lot like a Howard Johnsons with blue railings. We strolled through there and found the pools to be a bit crowded for our taste considering we were looking for more of a on our own atmosphere. We had a pool right outside our building and it was very quiet. We often sat outside our room and had a few glasses of wine.
We walked through the FQ while we were there and found it to be very beautiful but not secluded enough for what we were looking for. They have one pool that has a huge dragon slide in it...not too romantic there. Our quite pool was just an average pool but it was very much out of the way and more adult without all the slides and stuff. I have some beautiful pictures of both resorts off the beaten path and as soon as I figure out how to post them I will.
