We love the Brown Derby, fantastic food, service & atmosphere. It's a fine dining experience.
Sci-fi isfun We've been many times and had good food, service and love watching the b-movies, but it's a totally different experience.
We've also had a good meal at Plaza the one time we've been there. For an everyday lunch or dinner, it's really good but not what I'd call "special". I've never eaten at Tony's, my understanding is that it's a "normal" restaurant. Some seem to love it, others hate it.
If you're looking for a fine dining/elegant meal, then I highly recommend Brown Derby. If you're looking for a good sit down meal (burgers/sandwiches, standard fare) I'd pick Sci-Fi because it's entertaining as well.
I think Brown Derby has the best food of those listed, but the Sci Fi is really a fun atmosphere. Haven't eaten at the Plaza yet and Tony's seems to be hit or miss lately from the reviews here.
I agree that it depends what you are looking for. If it were me, I'd go with the Brown Derby ... the Cobb Salad is just fantastic!!
I have only eaten Sci-Fi from what you have listed.
It was okay. I did it for the ambiance, but besides that I didn't really enjoy it. The food was okay and I was somewhat unhappy with the service. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes even when we had a reservation. I wasn't thrilled about that.
I've never eaten at the Plaza, so can't comment on that. Tony's has a nice Lady and the Tramp theme, and Sci-Fi is fun, but Brown Derby is definatly one of the best IMO. The food there is fantastic, and it's a must-do for me every trip.
Thank you all for being so helpful!! I think that we are looking for more fun than fine dining. Fine would be wasted on my dd's. I think that I may go with Sci Fi. Provided I can get an ADR at such a late date.
