Checking into BWI around 7pm..where would you go for dinner?

Personally, I'd be going over to Epcot for my first dinner since your right there. But out of the three options you have, I say Beaches and Cream.

I think I would opt for the Cabana Bar at the Dolphin over any of the poll options. But of your choices, I suppose I'd pick Big River Grill.

I had to pick Beachs and Creams, because I ate at Big River Grill my last trip and always try something new each time. Plus I heard the Milk Shakes at B&C are Really good.

Love Beaches & Cream.. but for the first night I would go to Big River Brewing Company... Sit outside, listen to the sounds, look at the view across the water, and maybe get to hear and see a little of Illuminations. The Boardwalk atmosphere is so Disney. I would love to just suck it all up!

Kind of depends on what other food you've been able to have that day. If lunch was pretzels on the plane and breakfast was a before-dawn granola bar in the car, then you want more substantial food and I'd say Big River. If you had a reasonable meal in the middle of the day, then hamburgers and a monster ice cream at B&C is much more vacation-ish.

I find the food at B&C very filling. Especially when you add the No Way Jose for dessert. Yummo!

I voted for B&C, but I really think you should go try reviewing Il Mulino for us :).

Huh, no love for ESPN huh? Thats the one DH wants to eat at but I dont feel like it....if we get there early enough maybe I can talk him in to a walk in at Bluezoo :rotfl2:

Hi Nicki! Is it time yet?!?!?!?! Will you guys get there already!?!?! :lmao:

I was going to pick ESPN - We had lunch there and we really enjoyed it. Gourmet food? Hardly - but we thought it was really yummy. DH had the ribs and the plate was HUGE and they were really good. I had the reuben and I thought it was awesome..even better than the one I had at the Plaza. The service was excellent...there were no games going on at the time (much to DH's dismay:sad2:) so it was very quiet.

Of course when DH came back from the restroom he said "HEY! I have a great idea! Let's get a TV for the....":happytv:
Me: NO..:headache:

Hi Nikki,
Love your reviews.Another vote for the ESPN. It is our go to place if we don't have dinner plans along with WPE. Of course DH & I are big sports junkies :happytv: & used to go to the now gone ESPNs in Vegas DC & Baltimore. We enjoy the food with no big expectations.

My vote would be for ESPN or BRBC -- but that's because after a day of traveling, both my DH & I like to have a drink with dinner and toast the start of our vacation. We usually stay at the BC & my DH is a sports junkie, so ESPN works well for us. However, I love B&C!

We have eaten at ESPN a few times and definitely enjoyed it. Its a Sports Bar ... so typical bar food and a bit loud. But fun at the same time. I haven't eaten at Big River or Beaches & Cream so I can't really compare. But I say go for it and give Todd ESPN! :goodvibes

maybe I can talk him in to a walk in at Bluezoo :rotfl2:
Now you're talking! Tuna Tartare appetizer rocks!

ESPN - Beer and Nachos, whatever you do, don't order the ceasar salad w/ chicken.

BRG - OK, best if you can sit outside, love the beer.

B&C - I only go there for ice cream.

We like sitting in the bar area of bluezoo.;) If you can't talk him into that I'd head to ESPN for the Reuben sandwich and cucumber salad!:thumbsup2

I voted ESPN, but would say that if its a game night you may have to wait a while.

I've got a different suggestion though, how about Dolphin Fountain instead? We ate there a couple of times last trip and loved their burgers and Philly Cheesesteak. Burgers are definitely better than B&C.

I vote bluezoo only because it's become a first-night tradition for us and it may be my favorite restaurant on property. Plus, every time we've gone it's been deader than dead---so walk ups have been easy.

But since I have to choose one from your poll, knowing you are lactose intolerant I'd just stick with ESPN Club. They have good wings, nachos, ribs, burgers---you can't go wrong. I'd save B&C for either a) a night when you want to go over just to get some icecream for Todd and dessert for you or b) one day for lunch if you are planning to get burgers.

B&C is a no-brainer for us! Nothing starts off our Disney experience like a No Way Jose sundae. Since we stay at BCV it is so easy for us! Then, we can head over to the boardwalk to walk off our food! Love night time at the Boardwalk!
