Which offsite resort has the best.....

Transportation to Disney parks? I've been looking at Bonnet Creek, but have seen quite a few comments about the shuttle and most people preferring to have their cars.

I had family stay at Double Tree in May and they had no problem with their transportation.

What are your transportation opinions?

Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Villages both have great transportation. We stayed at both places and had great service!! The busses run regularly and all day.

The official DTD hotels have good transportation, every 30 minutes.

Offsite hotels have a more limited schedule. I don't think Vistana runs ever 30minutes and it's not free for many (any?) guests.

People who don't want to drive should stay onsite with the DTD hotels a close second. People staying at other offsite properties, including BCR, should consider budgeting money for taxis to supplement the shuttles.

IMO, none of them. I agree with Lewisc completely:

If you are considering a specific offsite property, you want to know what their particular shuttle schedule is. Some schedules may work with some touring styles, but not others. For example, Bonnet would not work well for me, as I often take a mid-day break, but Bonnet's shuttle runs less frequently mid-day.

You almost always get more bang for your buck staying offsite, even *after* you rent a car and pay for theme park parking, unless you are comparing to a single Value category room. Even then, offsite plus a car may cost a few dollars more, but in much nicer accommodations and with significantly more flexibility about where you go, and when yo go there.

I would have no problem staying off site, and no problem with the cost of renting a vehicle, it's just I am a very timid driver and I don't know if I could handle driving in another country when I have no idea where I am going. I think I would be too nervous
