These are some of the choices that we are looking into (dh will be down for work and was given this list):

Residence Inn/Sea World International Center
(Westwood Blvd)

Sierra Suites Hotel-Pointe Orlando
(Universal Blvd)

Wellesley Inn (Commodity Circle)

Homestead Village (Equity Row)

Residence Inn by Marriott International Drive (Cananda Ave)

Holiday Inn Orlando International Drive Resort

Ramada Inn & Suites by Sea World (Villa de Costa Drive)

We were thinking the Holiday Inn (which we can get for about $55 /night)

Can we do better than this and be closer to WDW?

TIA!

I found the prices here very good and you don't have to pay in advance to make a reservation. We have used this site to make reservations without any problem:www.orlandodiscountrooms.com/

I stayed at the Wellesley via Priceline this past New Years. We stayed in a studio suite and it was VERY nice. It has a full kitchen and has a very good continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I commented on your other thread about the HI. NOT my favorite property!

All of these hotels are very accessible to the Convention Ctr, which I am assuming your DH is going? The Sierra Suites is at Pointe Orlando, which is one of my favorite parts of Intl Drive. I've never stayed there, though.

Good luck!

Another vote for the Wellesley Inn and Suites. We loved it there. Full kitchen and full suite with a free deluxe continental breakfast. A little off the beaten path, about 5 mins. from I-Drive and 15 mins. from WDW but we liked not being in all of the traffic all the time.

Looks like Wellesly (however you spell it) is in the lead...I just found out that they have a brand new one on I-Drive (10 mi from MK, but that wasn't really an issue, since we're driving) and the gov't rate is perfect...

Thanks for all the feedback!;) :Pinkbounc

Well, after *lots* of research and calling...we are not going with Wellesley...the particular location we were looking at does not have a full kitchen, (not even a full refrig) and was refurbished, not new...

We have finally decided to go with Sierra Suites at Pointe Orlando, they have a shuttle, cont. breakfast, full kitchen and we got a great deal on the family suite (gov rate).

Thanks again, for everyone's input!:)
