And which of these would you absolutely not!!!

Best Western anaheim Inn $1,373 flight plus 7 nights hotel for a family of 4.
Carousel inn $1,452
Castle inn $1,301
Del Sol In $1,335
Park Vue Inn 1,418
Tropicana 1,474

We stayed there in 2005 and loved the location and the room was very nice. We spent most of the time in the parks, so as long as we had a nice place to sleep we were ok. The "breakfast" was pastries, fruit, etc, but the dining area overlooked the park, so you got in the mood for DL right away. My dh and ds loved the roof top pool. The walk to DL and DCA is so quick, right across the street.

I haven't stayed at any of the others, but have stayed at the Howard Johnsons, which was really nice too. They have a great pool, are right next to Mimi's Cafe, but the walk to the park is a little bit longer, like maybe 5 minutes more!!

Hope this helps.

The Park Vue Inn is super close, easy walking distance from the park. The only thing is that it has outward facing doors (i.e. doors that don't open onto a central corridor), and some people aren't fond of that for security reasons. Oh, and you might check out the Fairfield Inn. It's a Marriott hotel and is really great.

I would do Tropicana, Carousel or the Anaheim Inn if I had to pick out of those. And between those, they are so close to the same that I would go based on price!!

I agree, from the list I would go Carousel, Tropicana or BW Anaheim Inn. We had a bad experience with the Park Vue so that is the only one I can say I would not choose. :)

Avoid the Park Vue Inn like it has rabies. Their customer service is terrible- when THEY make a mistake, they won't fix it. (I am currently in the middle of a dispute with my CC company because they booked me a month early- even though I confirmed the dates about five times- and they charged me when I didn't show up.)

Thanks a bunch everyone. I had about 5 or 6 other choices. But I eliminated them. HOJO and Fairfield both sound good but were both gone for this deal. Now If I can get the spouse into gear so we can jump on this, I'll be :cheer2: :dance3: :yay:

Castle Inn is nothing special, I would avoid it, although it is fairly close. They may have updated it since I was there last, however.

Castle Inn is the furthest of all your choices if location matters!!

We stayed at the Castle Inn last year and plan to again this year. I thought it was fine to just sleep in. My 3 yr. DD LOVED it b/c we came "home" to a castle each night and it was lit up and everything. I didn't think the walk back and forth was too far...

When are you going?

We stayed at the Best Western and it was nice. Nothing fancy, but nice. We spend a majority of our time at the park, so we didn't need a fancy room. You can't beat the location of the BW. Have fun! Only 8 more days for us. We are staying at the HOJO this time. :yay:

I would not use the Anaheim inn for one reason only. The BW Park Place about 4 doors up offers free breakfast. Other than that I have stayed at both and that is the only difference, except the front office staff is MUCH nicer at the Anaheim inn than the Park PLace. Did you check out the Desert Inn and Suites 5 doors up, they have LARGE suites and breakfast although from what i have heard the breakfast leaves something to be desired.

End of July if we can get off work. Busy time to go but when the choice is July or nothing. July wins. Hands down.

We stayed at the carousel inn but it was a LONG time ago....maybe 10 years. We really liked it. very close to the park, the rooms were decent, no complaints. I know that park vue is cheap but I haven't read good comments on www.tripadvisor.com.

Carousel is always my first choice. If not available, I check Tropicana then a few others, but those aren't on your list.
