I am not really a big roller-coaster person, I thought I would nearly die on the first roller-coaster I went on, because the pressure had my head leaning down and it felt like my back was going to break. I also hate inversion or loops.

So I ask you, people of DIS, which of these rides is the most intense?

Okay, you asked for most "intense" so I said MS, but if you asked for favorites, it would have to be ToT, hands down! I rode MS once and guess I'm not sure if I'll do it again, probably, but I can live without it. ToT, on the other hand, is a "must do" several times, every trip! But that's not what you asked, so.... :sunny:

if you hate inversions, then obviously the most intense would be RNR.......I personally think MS is the most intense, aside of looping/inversion action.

On another note, please let me know if anyone chooses 'Its a Small World' from your poll---------I will be sure to put them on my ignore list. lol. The only intense thing about that ride is if you put your hand out to splash your fellow riders, and it gets caught between the boat and the wall------hypothetically speaking of course, not that I would do that.

I've not been on Expedition Everest yet or Mission: Space so I can't comment on those. I actually can't wait to try them out :woohoo:
I think Tower of Terror is the most intense, because I'm not crazy about the drops. I'm the opposite of you however, because I love the loops and inversions, so Rock-n-Roller Coaster is my favorite :jumping1: You may want to avoid that one.

I've been on Soarin' in CA Adventure (not the one at WDW - but same ride) and it has no loops and is not strenuous by any means. I loved this ride - it was great :thumbsup2.

Since I love coasters, I like all the Mountains, however if you are worried about being jerked around, then Space Mtn might not be the one for you. It doesn't have any big hills, mostly just small dips and jerky turns. Splash Mtn is also one of my fav's and really one has 1 bigger drop, which I love :yay: Big Thunder Mtn is like a mine ride with some a few smaller hills.

I can't remember all the others listed, but wanted to give a shout out for these. I like to try all the rides and if I dislike it, then will never ride it again. I can only think of one ride I dislike and its Primevil Whirl at AK...all the spinning made me nauseous.

Like a previous poster, that one is the most intense for me, and having done it a couple of time, will probably avoid in the future. I LOVE  TOT. Nothing, to me, comes close to the actual ride and theming of the TOT...

Enjoy!

Mission: Space is the most intense.
Rock n Roller is the only one with loops and the initial launch is pretty intense.
Space Mountain is the one that jerks your body around the most.

Tower of Terror all the way. The bungee drop/jump at the end isn't that big of a deal, but the mental and visual tricks they play on you before the jump/drop sequence is very intense.

For me, it's Mission Space...I came off that ride (and I ride all the rides listed) with a real strange, kind of off feeling. My DH and DS loved it and want to ride again, but not me. Once was enough. That said, I am really glad I did try it... :)

Mission Space is the most intense to me. It is the one that hits you the hardest physically. Also, there is an element of mystery to it that makes it strange. On a roller coaster you essentially know what you are doing. On ToT, you do to...you're dropping. On Mission Space, you are not really sure what is happening.

Mission Space is so intense that it made me sick and I will never go on it again...this coming from someone who LOVES thrill rides!

Hey, I voted for IASW...just being silly today! Ignore me all you want.

But my honest answer, for you hating inversions, would be RnR.

Mission Space is the worst for me. I was queasy for more than an hour after riding. RnR was awesome! As far as roller coasters go, it's a pretty smooth ride- the take off is fast, but not rough- and inversions don't bother me, so I can't say on that. ToT (sorry to all the ToT fans) is kinda boring. DH and I got off and looked at each other and said, "What's the big deal about that?" :confused3

I voted for "Other". The scariest ride I've ever been on was AstroOrbiter. DH said "After that, you wouldn't find Space Mountain that bad" because previously I'd been to chicken to try SM. He was right-AO was MUCH worse! I've been on all the others except MS, EE, and RnR.

Small world. It's a killer. You may not survive it. First we were in line, and they have this cute little display to lure you in. Then there's this clock. You see if that clock were to come off it's little hinge. it might hit someone in the wheelchair line Boy is that scary. But by some miracle it didn't. It just kept tick tocking away. Well then you get in the boat. And you go under this bridge with the operator who waves. For some reason, the operator that day reminded me of dueling banjos (cringe.) Well anyway, if that bridge were to happen to fall, you'd be crushed. But again by some miracle, it didn't. It just sat there. So I counted myself lucky twice. Meanwhile, once seeminly out of the operators view, the ride spews out a mist. It's a magical potion that just entices you to put your hand over the side and splash someone. But then WHAM!!!! your boat will veer toward the side of the channel. Luckily the teenager that seccumbed to the mist pulled his hand out just in time. It's just then that the scary demigod of the ride announces in a booming voice, "keep your hands inside the boat at all times." Boy did that flip me out. Then we went through the doorway of doom. Now it is here that a hole might just open up and swallow the boat and all in a big giant whilrpool never to be seen again. But it didn't. We got lucky again. 3 for 3. And then, the evil dolls start singing. It's a world of laughter a world of tears, it's a world of hope and a world of FEARS. Oh and these fears are subtle, sort of like the water torture. At first they seem harmless. But then they start closing in on you, changing their garb to every corner of the globe. And always it's the same sinister song. There's so much that we share that it's time we're aware, it's a small small world. There's a giant ferris wheel in one of the scenes that if it came off its pegs, would roll into the boat and sink it. But we were extra lucky that day. It didn't. Also, our boat could have capsized and thrown us all under it and drowned us. But it didn't. It just kept floating. Anyway, by the end you're shouting MAKE IT STOP!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!! CHUCKIE IS GOING TO GET ME!!!!. But then we got to the end. You end up stacked behind the other boats that have people in them just waiting to get off so they can be spared more of this fright. Our boat got stuck half way in and half way out. I thought the people in the back weren't going to make it. Now had that doorway been a guillotine, it would have chopped me in half as I was right underneath it. That was scary. But it wasn't. I felt lucky to get out of there alive. But it wasn't over. Once on the exit conveyer, he moved us BACKWARDS!!!! before moving us forwards. OH NO!!! IT'S GOING TO SWALLOW US FOR SURE!!! WE'RE DOOMED. But it didn't. I guess we were lucky.

if you mean intense as in scary, I'd go with tot...you just never know what's going to happen which makes it pretty intense to me

if you mean physically rough, I'd go with bmtr or space mountain..not scary but rougher as in"you get thrown around more" than rnr in my opinion, think do to the lack of shoulder restraintson btmr. rnr also is a little bit rough at take off only imo...you need to keep your head back against the head restraint on that one.

if you mean intense as in "driving you crazy and making you want to jump out and walk"...i agree with previous posters...definitely iasm :rotfl2:
