For one of our date nights we wanna eat somewhere on the monorail for dinner.
Was gonna do Cali grill adn while we love it- wanna try something new and NOT 2 credits.
I've narrowed it down to eitehr dinner at Kona, the Wave, or Grand Floridian Cafe.
Never been to any of them.
Menu suggestions are welcome also!

Kona! My DH is a finicky eater and even he love this place. It's a "must do" for us!! ;)

I've heard The Wave is superb! We did lunch at Kona and it was yummy, but never did dinner. I'm thinking of changing one of our ADR's to The Wave!!

We love the Wave, went March 09 and Aug 09 and both times the food was to die for and the meal felt like a signature place.

The GCF is excellent as well

Kona is eh and way too noisy to enjoy a nice TS with my DH

I think the food at Kona is the best. It can be a little noisy there. I was not impressed with the food at the Wave.

I love the GFC... thought Kona was okay.... haven't tried the Wave

We had dinner at The Wave in January. It was our first time there and it did not disappoint. The interior is a little more upscale feeling. The service was outstanding. We loved our meals, had great drinks and really enjoyed the desserts.

another vote for Kona :) Have been wanting to try The Wave, though, it looks yummy!

Check out the menu for each - though menus ARE seaonal - at all three places. Some itmes stay on the menu at each , but they also make changes. You can see the most up to date menus on Disney's own website. (look up each place and calling up menu is on the right side. Buffet menus are not available because they change daily, but the three places you list all have menus.)

The Wave is modern and has healthy options. It is perhaps not as highly themed as some other dining options on property. I only ate there for breakfast, but really enjoyed it. They have things like yogurt smoothies and a selection of herbal teas, and 'sustainable' fish.

Kona - more Asian in influence. In my mind, it went downhill after DDP was introduced. Last trip we treid the sushi bar though. It was S-L-O-W, but tasty. I may try Kona again at some point. My newer love is 'Ohana next door though! In the past, Kona was known for a big selection of really cool desserts. I don't really know what they have now, at last visit I was a bit disappointed in the reduced offerings.

GF Cafe - I liked it, but it also is not particularly high themed. The portions were plenty to share. I had the pasta on last visit. They also had a great chocolate dessert.

Steak at Kona!!! It is good and our service was even better. Plus they have good desserts. :goodvibes
