Hi..wondering which monorail resturant would you recommend for my family of 5..ME DH DD'S 10,9 &2 ? Staying at WL 12/6 thru 12/11 eating at WCC already. Visiting other Deluxes to check out decorations..wanted to try something new.Have dined at O'hanas and Chef Mickeys. Do you think the "finer resturants" would not be a good choice with 3 kids?Suggestions please..Thanks

It's technically not a restaurant but right by Kona Cafe at the Polynesian is the Kona Island Sushi Bar which is open everyday from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM and the best part is you don't need ADR's to eat there, because it's first come first serve. Now if you don't like Sushi you can also order off the full Kona Cafe menu.

I agree. The Kona Sushi Bar is amazing! Plus, if anyone doesn't like that, the Kona Cafe menu is there to order from! How great is that?! If you wanted to eat somewhere with an ADR, then get one for Kona Cafe, where you can obviously order off the Sushi Bar menu as well.

It really depends on your kids. We have taken our kids to many of the signature restaurants and they have been great. You will find alot of other kids there as well.

That said, if you looking for a signature thats on the monorail, check out California Grill. Great food and an amazing view of WDW.

We love Narcoossees @ GF and Cali Grill as well. We have taken ourkids to a lot of siggie TS. You can see Wishes @ Narcoossees as well too! Artist Point @ WL is also excellent if you didn't want to go too far one night.

I bring along a DVD player, but I have only one child.....

CA Grill has a beautiful view and fireworks. Narcoossee's & Ohana's also do the fireworks. I've not yet tried Ohana's, but this may be the most child friendly of the deluxe meals along the Monorail.

Depends on the kids

Just came back and i ate at Narcoosee's and Cali Grill with my DD (4).

There is also Ohana at Poly, i wasnt crazy about the dinner but i heard the breakfast was good, i might give that a shot

We like 1900 Park Fare at the GF...it's a character meal and can be noisy, but it's a lot of fun....and it's a buffet...we thought the food was good too.

For breakfast -- 1900 Park Fare (Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Tigger and Pooh, usual characters). or Ohana (Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, Stitch). Food pretty good at both. Mad Hatter is hard to find in the parks, I think.

For dinner -- 1900 Park Fare for DDs (Cindy, Prince C., the step sisters and step mom). Food gets mixed reviews... it's buffet... but we liked it! A little crowded with tables close together.... but good opportunity to meet Cindy and the others). I would prefer to meet them in the parks though.

For a finer restaurant...... not sure.... Grand Floridian has the best holiday decorations... but you could just visit there without dining. Narcoosees is good but not anywhere near our favorite, but if timed right... you can watch the fireworks and lighted boat parade from your table (possibly) or the deck outside. Citricos is pretty quiet and formal. We like California Grill at the Contemporary but then you will have to sneak past Chef Mickeys! I like the views from Cali Grill (especially at sunset).

I absolutely love GF Cafe! The setting is very pretty while being kid friendly. The food and service were great also:thumbsup2 I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again.
