We are planing on going WDW in late October of 2003. There will be 2 couples going neither of us have kids. I have been to Disney 3x prior and everyone else has never been. None of us have stayed at any of the resorts and so far the only thing we can decide on is we want to stay in one of the Moderate resorts. We are all in our mid-twenties and early-thrities. If you could please give us some info on which Moderate Resort to stay in.
Thanks

We have been two times - both at moderates. The 1st time at POFQ. We loved this resort. Very compact. We have two children so this was nice for us. The 2nd trip we stayed at POR. Beautiful landscaping. They also have a lounge with a guy name Bob who plays the piano. This is a lot of fun. I would probably go with POR out of the two that I stayed in. They also have a sit down restaurant which we did not try. You might want to consider Coronado Springs. The pool looks great!

koho,

Welcome to DIS! I've stayed at Port Orleans- Riverside (PO-R), Carribean Beach Resort (CBR) and Coronado Springs (CS). I liked them all but I liked CS the best. It's theming and pool are great!. Here is a link to a resorts page by Dreams Unlimited (it's somewhat associated with DIS) - http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/resorts/index.htm . It has a description of each resort and link to stream video of each resort so you can see what the resorts look like.

Also, take a look at the DIS resort page for additional info - http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/resortmain.htm

Good luck!

I would choose PO-R.

Great lounge(for a mod), boat to DTD, nice landscaping.

We've liked all the mods we have stayed at.:D

We have stated at all of the moderates and love them all. Carribbean Beach is our favorite. In your situation I would suggest PO Riverside, however. I agree with the previous post that it has a great lounge. Also, with adult only couples, you are likely to want some time at Pleasure Island so the boat ride would be great. CBR is a great resort too! Really you can't go wrong!
Have fun!

I've stayed at Caribbean Beach twice, and LOVE this resort! Last year ALL of the rooms were totally refurbished and now look like brand new rooms. At the moment, the entire food court complex is being remodeled, and from what I've heard, will have a brand new sit-down restaurant in addition to the food court selections.

Please check out all of my Disney World web pages, but specifically my CBR pages. I have pages of info about CBR, too. I have 2 sections of CBR pages; one section from our May 2001 trip, and the newer pages from Feb 2002, which you can access directly from the CBR logo below.

Enjoy! :)

I have only stayed at Coronado. I would highly recommend it for an adults only trip. It is a convention hotel so there seemed to be a higher ratio of adults to children. The pool and spa were fabulous and the grounds were spectacular. The bus service was very punctual.

But of course I have nothing to compare it to......
