Which moderate resort would you choose?

POR is my favorite mod, the grounds are just beautiful and the boat to Downtown is very pleasant.
POFQ is also lovely, that would be my second choice.
I didn't like CSR at all. The main building was always congested and I didn't care for the food court.
CBR: have not stayed there as the theming doesn't appeal to me.

Definitely CSR! CSR has the best transportation that is not shared like POR/POFQ, the best pool of all the moderates and terrific food at the Pepper Market and Maya Grill.

ps - Depending on when you are going, the main pool at CBR will be closed 1/08 to 6/08. They do have quiet pools.

We have stayed at POR, CBR, and CSR. We loved POR, CBR, we only liked CSR. But, they all have their good points.

All of the resorts are beautiful. All of them are fairly large, spread out resorts, but none of them are a problem getting around in. They all have main pools, with several private pools. I think CSR has the best main pool and POR has the best private pools.

POR has the best food court and CBR's food court is good too. We did not care for the Pepper Market. We thought it was a big minus for CSR.

But, CSR has it's plusses. It is a convention resort so that can cut down on the crowds on the park buses. It also has a gym and hair salon if those are amenities that you would use.

We don't worry too much about which one has the best hot tub because wouldn't get in a hot tub at a hotel no matter where it is at.

One minus for us at CSR was that it only had one sink. Since there are only two of you, that may not be an issue.

I think you would be happy at any of the moderates.

I have stayed at all the moderate resorts, I would have to say that I like POFQ the best mainly because the resort area is much smaller than the others. It is a very pretty resort. All of the other moderates seem huge and it was always a hike to get to the food court or bus stops, everything at POFQ was close by and we were in one of the furtherest rooms from the lobby.

We have stayed at CSR, CBR, and POR. We liked POR the most, followed closely by CSR. We hated CBR and won't be back there.

Just got back from CSR - NEVER AGAIN!!! The only thing DH and I liked about CSR was the short bus rides to everywhere. Our room was a 10-15 min. walk from the food court area, room was only cleaned twice in 6 days (both times we had to call and REQUEST that our room be cleaned ), confusing layout (kept getting lost every time we left our room, and I have a REALLY good sense of direction normally ), did not care for the food, etc.
We stayed at POR last year - LOVED IT!!! We decided to try someplace new, and the entire time we were both wishing we were back at POR. POFQ is also great - older, but nice and small. The live entertainment is also wonderful at both POR and POFQ - we went back one night this year just to hear the live jazz music.

Df and I stayed at CSR last yr and loved it! The only thing we didn't really care for was the semi long walk to the main building (we stayed in the ranchos) I think he was suppose to request a closer place and ended up forgetting, but it made for a lovely walk even if it was a little long. We enjoyed the myan grill and the pepper market was okay. I would def stay there again...the buses were never crowded which is a nice bonus in the morning if your not a morning person (im not) and don't want to listen to all the hub bub quite yet. Good luck on choosing. Df convinced me this yr to stay at AKL I really wanted to stay at CSR again, but I also want to know what else is out there so we're doing AKL we will be making it back to CSR again if I have anything to do with it. I love CSR! The transportation is the best I've experienced and I just love the main pool area.

Another vote for POR. POFQ is second.

I didn't care for CSR. We did a split stay in February, and by the second night we were contemplating seeing if we could just move to POR at that point. We stuck it out. We didn't like how far the main buildings were from the Ranchos. The Food court was horrible, aside from the 10% tip. The main building was always CROWDED. And the buses were no different than my experience at POR or POFQ. Not better not worse. They did always leave people behind at the main bus stop because they were full.

I love POR. I love the food court, trees, masions, AB, walkways, river, boats to DTD, River Roost, Bell Services are great. I LOVE LOVE LOVE POR.

I have stayed at the CBR 3 times and have scheduled a 4th. Never had a problem there. Have visited the other resorts for dinner. Liked them as well, but not as much as CBR. It is a matter of opinion. For my family, CBR is it.

Oh we stayed at CSR for the first time last month and it has now become my favorite resort! The buses were absolutely wonderful, the grounds were breathtaking and at night the place was simply spectacular. The Pepper Market was great for us because we were on the dining plan. We were able to get some great meals for counter service credits. It's CSR for us from now on.
