ok everyone, whick model of crocs do you have? i was thinking about getting the NILE or CAYMAN. the only thing with the closed toe ones is that my toes rub the tip of the shoe.
When I went to WDW in May I took my Croc Beach, Croc Niles, Teva Pretty Rugged Leather sandals, and Teva Mush flip flops. I had been alternating all four pairs to walk my dog everyday to get them broke in and all four felt really comfortable. However the Croc Niles gave me my first ever blister the first day I wore them at WDW. The little horizontal ridge that goes just below the toes rubbed two small blisters. The Croc Beach were more comfortable, but my Tevas (especially the Pretty Rugged Leather sandals) were MUCH more comfortable than either of my Crocs. I met a lady at my resort wearing Croc Beach and she said that even though she was trying to give the Crocs a chance that she agreed that her Teva Pretty Rugged Leather sandals were more comfortable. She also told me that her daughter had gotten a blister from her Croc Niles in the same place I did. My Crocs also do not do as well as my Tevas on wet pavement.
I'm going back in Sept and plan to give my Croc Beach another chance, but will also have my Tevas along for insurance. As much as I love my Croc Niles around here, they will be staying home in Sept.
I wore my beach crocs for a week at WDW and sometimes they got rough on the bottoms of my feet. I found that wearing a pair of socks for short time gave me relief. They were just so light that my legs never knew I had shoes on. My DS13 wore his each and every day, this was the first time that we had been somewhere that he had not complained about his feet hurting on vacation. DS15 was not really a fan of crocs untill we got home. I cannot wait until I can head back to Disney.
I just ordered and received my first pair of Crocs yesterday. I have two bad joints on the toes next to the big toes and shoes always rub on them and really hurt so I have to be careful what style shoes I wear to be comfortable. I ordered the Nile which are sandals and they don't rub on those toes. I also have wide feet and they aren't too narrow so I think the Niles will work out great in August at WDW. Good luck!
