Were going to WDW in October 2015. My daughter will be 8 mos old then! I've looked at a lot of reviews on light weight strollers but I can't make up my mind on which one. Some of my top contenders seem to be uppa baby gluxe, summer infant 3D lite convenience, or chicco liteway. I'd love any opinions on which one of these is best for WDW specifically or if you reccommend any others.

Features I think are important are light weight, deep recline, smooth ride, easy one hand fold, storage, and large canopy.

Also if you have any other advice on WDW with an 8 mo old id appreciate it!

I have the g lux and love it for running errands and what not. However I don't think I'm taking it to Disney this year. I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to take my BOB or rent one. I will say I took the g lux to DC and it handled well. My one complaint is lack of storage and if I hung a bag on the back handles and took the baby put it would fall over because the weight of the bag. It drove me nuts! I missed my BOB. Oh and the glux is not a one handed fold it takes two but is really light weight.

We have done Disney with both a lightweight and our regular full size stroller. I will never go with out lightweight again. It really wasn't much trouble let to take the full size, and our daughter was much more comfortable in her full size stroller. The bigger one also has more storage and doesn't tip over like the lightweight.

I was just thinking about this for our older child. We have a Chicco Liteway and LOVE it, but was wondering if I might want something bigger just for the extra storage (for us) and comfy factor.

DD is 5 and we no longer have/use a stroller but when she was a baby we had the Peg Perego Pliko P3. 16lbs, full recline, shade hit the snack tray thing, and a 5 point harness. Oh, and easy one had fold up. The one downfall to this stroller is the lack of storage space. But we had the Peg diaper bag too and it clipped to the handles so I was good.

I went to Disney while pregnant with DD. I scoped out strollers while there and had no issues asking people about their strollers. This is how I/we decided on the Peg. It got great ratings by people actually using it. I loved it. If I were to have another baby (NOT gonna happen...LOL) I would go with a Peg. A light weight full size stroller.

I have a Britax B Nimble and I love it. With that being said I won't take it to Disney because the hood is not as big and my Baby Jogger. The BJ also reclines further back and has more storage.

I recommend city mini. We have taken many strollers to Disney, but before our last trip I really researched and read reviews and even read up on here before I chose a stroller for our little one. This is the best Disney stroller by far... Also for every day... It has the largest sunshade I think available. It is a one hand pull to fold that I could do holding my 3 month old. Plus when folded its pretty flat meaning easy to use on the buses and trains. I did opt for the 4 wheel city mini instead of the 3 wheel version. This stroller is easily pushed with one hand and turns so well. Well worth the money! Albee baby often has good sells! I went to babies r us to try it but ordered from Albee baby. My 7 yr old and 3 month old shared this stroller all week. I would wear my baby in the ergo a few hrs a day and that's when my 7 yr old got to sit. Worked out great! I would suggest an ergo for waiting in lines! Have a great trip!

I have a G-Luxe and plan to take it to Disney next year but my kids are older so I need different features.

Like PP mentioned the storage area is small. If you hang things from the handles and take the baby out of the stroller it will tip over.

I don't know if they fixed this on newer models but going down stairs the breaks catch on the edge and scrape the whole way down.

It isn't a one handed fold or that great to steer one handed.

I do like the canopy. The ride is very smooth for an umbrella stroller. I like that the wheels stick out a bit when folded so the canopy doesn't get dirty. That does make the folded size a little larger then some.

I really like how it has the removable padded seat liner. That saved me last summer when we had a poop incident at our local amusement park.

My DD has napped in the stroller several times and the recline is deep enough for her.

I can't comment on the other strollers but after having the G-luxe for a year thats my review. Hope it helps!

I recommend the city mini too. Super light and agile. We use it for theme parks here in New England. Only negative is storage on bottom. If I have a fully loaded Vera Bradley tote bag, it won't fit. If you pack light, you're fine! Have fun!

my baby is 8 months old now, she is loving her City Mini Lite, which is 16 lbs. It has a near complete recline, with vented fabric at the back, which she can turn her head around to look at us walking the stroller. If it needs to be dark, there is a fabric panel that velcros over. The canopy is huge, and it always shades her from the waist up. The shade has two peek a boo panels to see her, and they have ties on them to roll the fabric open or closed but what is great is that those toggle ties let me slide her receiving blanket through and then it's all shaded for her nap. she loves it. it steers amazingly and never tips back.

Took our 8 month 3 weeks ago with our GLuxe. Worked great. We got lots of looks when we could fold our stroller and stand it up on its own.

I totally agree with the City Mini. It is agile, lightweight. It folds flat and has a HUGE sun canopy, which is super important. I do wish it had more storage on bottom though.

I just bought the SUmmer D-lite for my second child who is now 2.5 after our cheap umbrella stroller finally broke. I love it and wish I had bought it much earlier. The first week I took the kids to NYC without DH for two days. I was able to get both kids up and down stairs, on subways, ect. and my son took a 3 hour nap thanks to the recline and shade. If it can make it there, it can make it anywhere :)

I have a G lux and a city mini. The G lux toppled over on uneven bricks at Disneyland when DS was 12 months (even with nothing on the handlebar) and the basket is a bit tight. I prefer the city mini for the parks now. Better sunshade, more storage, more stable. But, if I was buying new, I would get a Valco Snap. Very similar to city mini but lighter.

Cheap umbrella strollers did not work well for my family. We did it twice. The wheels get hung up all the time on the walkways. They are harder to steer with no basket. Even my expensive umbrella has only a tiny basket for diaperbag... Very small diaperbag maybe! Sun shades are not very big and they don't recline all the way for good naps. Our experience is spend alittle more money and have a better stroller... Or rent one for the week. Just my thoughts. It's Disney you will have a great trip those features were very important to me though when picking a stroller.

We rent. Once kiddo started walking she NEVER goes into a stroller unless we're at WDW. Ever. Not even bribes work.

But Disney magic and even now at 4 she scrambles in to the rental and wants to go go go!

Now our friend insisted on bringing an umbrella stroller. Ten minutes over the crowded cobblestone streets and the train tracks and she was looking to buy a new one. There is one you can buy in the parks for $60 that is pretty decent. Our friend bought one (and wish she'd rented) but it worked okay for her. Her next trip she is renting.

On our next trip, it will be her 30th flight (we live away from our families) and we've used our kid's regular carseat with a gogobabyz wheels to push her through the airports (or our carryons when she insists on walking).

At 8 months I was babywearing kiddo more than using a stroller, but in a crowd on a warm day it would have been very hot and I always worried about being knocked down or tripping with it on while walking over uneven surfaces. So a mall or grocery store? Sure, but Disney? I probably would bring it but not use it.

We have the G-Luxe and we've taken it to WDW twice now. The storage is small, but we don't like taking lots of things into the parks anyway, so it was never an issue for us.

We flew both times and we got the special travel bag for it, which I'm glad we did because the airline broke it when we flew back home the first time. When you use the travel bag, you're covered for damages, so we got a replacement from Uppa for free!

We LOVED being able to fold and stand it up because when you fold it and spread the canopy over it, it keeps the seat dry in the sudden Florida rainstorms, no extra plastic or ponchos required. Plus it was nice and small and could fit into spaces other strollers couldn't. We have the bright orange one, so it was easy to spot in a sea of stroller parking as well. DH would fold it and sling it on his back for the crowded bus rides home and it didn't take up much room in our hotel.

The recline should be good for an 8 month old. It's not really a one handed fold up, but I have yet to find a stroller that is. It is pretty much a one handed fold down, which is nice. We never had any problems with maneuvering or the ride, seemed pretty smooth to me.

With the strollers you're looking at, this shouldn't be an issue, but my one word of caution for a cheap umbrella stroller is they are short! If you are an average height or tall person, you'll be bending over all day for the cheap stroller handles. The higher priced ones (like the G-Luxe) have a higher handle height, so even my taller husband didn't have to bend over to push.

If you do get the g-luxe, get the cup holder for it too. it always comes in handy! Good luck making your choice and have a WONDERFUL time!!!
