Which is your favorite World Showcase Counter Service Eatery, and why?

My favorite is Yakitori House in Japan. Great food, reasonably priced, and it's so calm and peaceful sitting in the garden like area. :cloud9: I feel like I'm a million miles away. A bonus is hearing the drummers if they are performing at the time. It's a must do on our trip.

I like both the Cantina and the Lotus Blossum Cafe. But the margueritas were the tie-breaker so I voted for Cantina.

I've never tried the Tangerine Cafe, but after reading the reviews on this site I definitely plan to check it out on my next trip.

I voted for the yakitory house in Japan. Good selection of foods. And its a bit off the beaten track so its a more restful stop.

I too have only eaten at Yakotori. The sushi Tokyo roll was great! I want to try Tangerine Cafe. The Cantina is on my list too - the margaritas in San Angel Inn rock, so the ones at the Cantina are sure to as well!

Fish and chips place in United Kingdom. Reason-the fish and chips!!

I second the Fish and Chips place in the UK. But for me it's all about the Fish, skip the chips, they are just fat french frys anyway :teeth:

I actually have two choices. My second (I know I am going backwards) is the fish and chips in UK--because it is by far the best fish of that sort ever. I will never eat at Long John Silver's again. :rotfl2: (sorry for any fans)

My first choice is Yakitori House in Japan. I ate there my last trip and was not feeling very well  :crazy2: I went here and ordered a side salad with the yummy ginger dressing, a bowl of white sticky rice and a side order of chicken teryaki (I don't think this is on the menu anymore though :sad2: ). I also ordered an iced green tea. My whole meal was pretty plain but was absolutely delicious!!! I took my time, ate with my chopsticks, sat by the window and looked out onto the beautiful gardens. It was very memorable and when I left after my serene lunch I was feeling much better. It is now my favorite!!!!  I can't wait to go back.

Tangierine Cafe in Morocco! Lamb, Tabbouleh, Hummus & Baklava. Yummmmm!

I voted fo rthe Liberty Inn. I know it may not be the best place but I am just a basic American that would rather have a hamburger or grilled chicken sandwich than most anything else served in WS.

I was only brave enough to try Liberty Inn last trip and we liked it a whole lot. We will eat there this trip as well. I looked at the menus to all the other places that got lots of votes and ..well.. I am just too picky of an eater to like that stuff. I am a plain american food kinda girl.

Hey Monique! I only get to vote on one???lol!
Epcot is my fav. place to eat and they do have the best counter service!

I'll tell you what I like:
Boulangerie Patisserie- France Love the quiche and cheese plate and of course desserts! Glass of wine is small, but they are everywhere in WS!

Cantina de San Angel- Mexico We always get nachos here. Margeritas are just ok,I prefer non-frozen margs., they're cold though! Dos Equis is good anywhere!

Kringla Bakeri og Kafe- Norway I've only had school bread here. The kids love it, it's very rich, I only eat a couple of bites.

Liberty Inn- USA I haven't eaten here in years, but I may get my youngest some chicken tenders here if need be. Too many other better choices.

Lotus Blossom Cafe- China I have only had the egg rolls here as a snack, hot and good!

Sommerfest- Germany I really like the hot dogs/brats and saurekraut. DD is a hot dog fan and didn't like them. They're not your typical hot dog... The bun isn't either.

Tangierine Cafe- MoroccoMust do every trip! This is the one I voted for. We share the chicken shwarma platter that's our fav. although they changed the chicken last year. It used to be shredded chicken and now it's pressed, sort of like the lamb you get with a gyro. In fact the first time I got it this way I sent it back thinking they got my order wrong! The roasted chicken is pretty good too, I really like the sauce they have on the side for it and ask for it if I'm getting another entree, usually they give it to me. The meatball platter is good too. I ask for pita instead of the roll that comes with the hummus.

Yakitori House- Japan We like the Tokyo Roll, shrimp tempura and udon noodles, teriyaki chicken is ok. Ichiban beer is good. The kids always get Kaki Gori, green melon. The "zen garden" in Japan is our fav. place to hang out, just beautiful!

Yorkshire County Fish Shop- United Kingdom Pretty good fish and chips but small portions to share. We do alot of sharing!

And while I'm on a roll, even though you didn't ask, lol, My fav. counter service in Future World is Sunshine Season in The Land. So many good healthy choices! The one I've tried more than once and have sworn off forever is Electric Umbrella, yuck. The last time we tried it was at busy time when the food should be fresh and it was dried out like it had been under the lights for hours. Even the kids complained.

Have fun planning! :Pinkbounc

I picked Yakitori House. My kids really enjoy the food they offer, and the portions are good for sharing (big thing in my family).

I think I'd really like Tangerine Cafe, but I can't get the kids to try it. And since I can't remember the last time we ordered a meal just for me, I'll have to work on convincing my mom to split it in September!
