I have visited many of the Disney resorts, and have a goal of visiting them all. With that in mind, PLEASE vote in this poll, AND tell why you are voting for your particular resort.

(Although this shouldn't influence your vote of your favorite resort, on my next trip we are bringing DH's parents who are 82 and 84. If you have any input regarding the best resort for them, please add it to your comments.)

Thanks so much for your wisdom! :earsboy:

A very good question, and a very tough one.

I voted for the WL, because I love the atmosphere and the physical layout. I can still remember the smell of that lobby the first time I walked in. It's such a beautiful resort both inside and out.

Well I like most of them and certainly would not be upset to be at any one of them right now, but I chose the Poly. The stay was during Christmas, it was the resort I was in complete awe of as a child during my first trip to WDW, thinking to myself as we rode by on the ferry, my you must be super rich and lucky to stay there!! Like a love at first site thing. So MANY moons later, DH and I treated ourselves and the kids to one of the best Poly concierge stays ever. Just simply gives me the warm fuzzies :goodvibes

We, too, would like to stay in all resorts, Disneyaholic, but so far have only done a few. I voted for Contemporary, because it was my first on-site stay. I was a sophomore in High school, and it was so magical to see the monorail disappear IN the building as we drove up!! :wizard: We had caricatures drawn down in the game room, drove water mice, and had a really neat character buffet breakfast in what then was "Top of the World" restaurant. Went out on the walkway to watch fireworks.

Our first night there, we were really tired, and had all gone to bed early, Mom, Dad , brother and I. Suddenly we heard this loud music and saw these flashing lights!! Daddy jumped out of bed and ran out on the balcony in his skivvies!!  (Teenagers do not appreciate this in a parent!!) It was our first ELP, and we loved it!!

This resort will always hold special memories for me. It was the first place my husband and I vacationed (AFTER the honeymoon!) six months after we got married.

Even through all the changes, it still has such a neat atmosphere! That's why it is my favorite. Although, after a few more trips, I might change my mind. I always liked the look of the Poly, and we are doing that in January!! I'll let you know!!

If you are bringing senior citizens, why not consider the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge - where all the rooms are in one building and the walks to the bus stops aren't so far. My favorite is the Poly, but it's pretty spread out.

I have only stayed at the Swan, The Hotel Royal Plaza, and Pop Century. Out of those, I would have to say my favorite was Pop Century. But if money wasn't an issue, I would be staying right now at WL. I love the way it looks. I am hoping to be able to stay there whenever my DW and I can go without the kids.

I voted Poly. It's the only one I've ever stayed at, but after visiting a few of the others it's the only one I can see myself staying at

I voted for the BoardWalk Villas, although it is a bit unfair....the only other deluxe we have stayed at is the Beach Club (which is truly wonderful! & DH's favorite). Our next trip is planned for the Wilderness Lodge, and we are really looking forward to it!! :cool1:

We have also stayed at All Star Music (many times), Port Orleans French Quarter (3 times) and Caribbean Beach (which was our least favorite, although still satisfactory!).

The view is wonderful. Seeing the castle change colors from bed is one of my favorite things about this resort. The CG is my favorite place for a romantic dinner. You can't go wrong staying in the toaster.

I voted for WL. I love the theme. I'm an outdoorsy type anyway.

As for your upcoming trip, I would stay at one of the hotels with monorail service and make sure that you request a room as close to the lobby area as possible (and explain why to help your odds of getting your request).

Have a great trip.

I have never heard it called "The Toaster"!! :rotfl: Very Funny! :rotfl: I don't think I will ever look at it the same again!!

We were a Deluxe family prior to our stay at the CSR, which was the very best stay we had at Disney. No crowded lobbies, plenty of space to "get away" from other guests, beautiful pool, great bus service and a wonderful staff and a whole lot of savings. We have since tried the POFQ and when just the "girls" go thats the resort for us.

Also consider at all the hotels Deluxe, Moderate and Value you could end up in a building that has a bit of a walk. CSR now has in resort transportation. You really don't have to walk any where. That's important with the ages you mentioned.

I voted for the Polynesian!! I just wish I could afford it without a discount!! I'm sure my days of staying there are over!! I'll have to come up with a more affordable favorite.

Based on where I have stayed-CSR is our favorite!! Great theme, beautiful grounds, great pool and the best food court and best bus transportation!!
