I am considering booking this for DH and I.

Just curious as to which Imagineers people have dined with in the past?

Thank you
Rachael

Current or former Imagineers only? Florida only? Arranged through Disney only?

I need to know what your parameters are.

I dined once, in February, and the Imagineer was Deb Peterson, a graphics design engineer who worked on many high profile attractions. The last two years being spent on Expedition Everest and Hong kong Disney. Among other things, she was responsible for the signage of the attractions. Who you will get, depends on the work schedule of the imagineers, but, she suggested that you would be able to find out who would be dining on a particular day so as not to get repeat imagineers if you have done it before. Its a great experience, well worth doing again. You cant book it any further out than 30 days, my advice is to book it early on day 30. seating is limited to about ten. Also, the AKL has recently started a similar dining experience with the animal keepers.

Hope this helps,
Lancer

MajorTom, I am looking at booking the Lunch with an Imagineer at MGM and am just curious 'bout which Imagineers other Dis'ers have dined with. DH is the type of person who the more info he has the better.

I understand that it's kind of potluck which Imagineer will be at lunch, at I have no need to request a particular Imagineer. I have heard and read lots about the actual food. And most reports I have read the Imagineers were either Theron Skees or Jason Surrell. Just curious who else.

Lancer, DH is not intested in Animals in three trips I have only been able to get him to AK once, and he really only enjoyed "It's tough to be a bug", Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl and Triceratops - in other words the rides. So the AKL program would be a waste for us. Although he would enjoy talking with someone who was involved in EE, like Deb Peterson.

Thanks for your responses.

I've dined with Theron too, excellent! I think I remember him saying he does it once every 4-6 weeks or so because he enjoys it so much.

I also dined with a woman who did much work during the creation of Animal Kingdom, can't remember her name though.

I would gladly dine with either of them again as well as try something new. They are professinals with great stories and depending on who else is dining with you will dictate how the conversation goes.

We've dined with Jason Surrell who is a storywriter and the preeminent Disney authority on the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean. He has a book out on HM and has advised on the PotC films and Pam Rawlins who is a project manager. Both were awesome with different views and experiences.
