Which hotel

we are now in a pickle because of waiting to long to book. of these choices which is best:

animal kingdom jumbo house

saratoga

wilderness lodge (we have been here several times kinda tired of it)

old key west

Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom! Both impressive hotels which offer many more options than OKW or SSR. SSR and OKW are always the last hotels to fill up.

We just got back from AKL Jambo house and LOVED it!

Hmmm.... always a tough choice, but AKL is always a hit with my family: wonderful theming, good food options, lots to do there, etc.

We were there for Christmas Dinner at Boma last week and, afterwards, were given the chance to use nightvision goggles to watch animals wandering the savanah. Having been there a number of times before, this was something new for us! Love it there!

I would say Wilderness Lodge, but if you're sick of it then try AK.

If I was tired of Wilderness Lodge, then Animal Kindgom would be my choice! Have a great time...

I'd say it depends on what you want. We're staying at OKW in a 2 bedroom this week. It's been perfect for us. The decor is kind of outdated, but we have had nothing but great service and we really like how quiet it is. After a day in the crazy, noisy, crowded parks it's been really nice to come home to the quiet. There aren't many eating options but we brought a lot of food (we drove here) and have been eating usually 2 meals a day in the room.

That being said, the other places on your list are all on my list to stay at in the future. Went to Jiko at Jambo House the other night and I'd love love love to stay there someday.

for those of you who said AK how long is the bus ride to all the parks? is the ride too long and if so should I stay at wilderness?

It's really short to AK (11 minutes average), and moderately long to all the other parks. Count on a half hour to Epcot or DHS, and a little longer to MK, total travel time.

For comparison, the total travel time from WL to either Epcot or DHS is pretty close to the same as from AKL to either Epcot or DHS.

If you are going to spend a lot of time going back and forth between your resort and MK, then take WL. Otherwise, go for the new experience at AKL.

i think im going to go with wilderness! i cant wait! we are going in june. even though we are a little tired of it, its disney! always happy to go!

Gosh, you really cant go wrong with any of them.

Love the WL but if you've been there alot try something new. AKL is very similar but with the African theme, so keep that in mind if you want a big change, its probably too much like the WL, but if you want a little change, that could be just the place.

OKW is the oldest of the bunch but it also has the most spacious accomodations and the quietest setting.

We love SSR and have stayed there a few times. And with DTD so close you've got a close hub to go to other resorts from.

I would pick the WL. We love that resort. The AK seems so far out from the things we love to do most- mainly the MK park. We have eaten at AK and walked the grounds, but I dont think I would ever stay there.

I would choose either WL or AKL. If you are tired of WL, then AKL would be my choice. We have stayed at SSR and while it is a nice resort, it wasn't my favorite theme.

My vote would be for the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I never found the ride to the parks to be very long. Obviously, the Wilderness Lodge would be closer to the Magic Kingdom, but they're about the same distance from Hollywood Studios or Epcot and the Animal Kingdom Lodge is just around the corner from the Animal Kingdom.
If you're planning on spending the majority of your time at the Magic Kingdom, then the Wilderness Lodge may be a better choice, but I don't think you'd regret giving AKL a try.
