Which hotel? Marriott World Center, Hyatt Grand Cypress or Hilton Bonnet Creek?

Next summer, probably June. There will be myself, dh and dd (14).

We plan on doing Disney and possibly Seaworld. We will be in Orlando about a
week, maybe a tad more. Then head to the beach for a day or two.

This is a once in a lifetime type of trip. We've all been to WDW before, but never as a family (dh and I went a few times as children and then before dd was born and dd and I went when she was six with other family members). Dh isn't a big Disney fan, why we are staying off site and probably only doing four to five days there. Like many the last few years have been hard for us financially and emotionally for other reasons. Things are a lot better and due to an inheritance we can afford to finally take a big family vacation. Yes, we are doing the responsible things, paying off bills, retirement savings and college etc with most of it but this is our "fun" thing. We want to stay someplace really nice with a fabulous pool, plush rooms, room service etc. We will likely be up and at the parks at rope drop every day and then head back to the hotel mid afternoon to swim and relax in our room. And hope to have one or two just hang out at the hotel days. We are considering depending on the cost, getting a small suite or maybe two connecting rooms.

Which one of these would you recommend? I am a bit worried about the conventions at World Center and the Hyatt. But looking at the pictures those are the two that Dh and DD are most excited about. Dh didn't like the look of the rooms at the Hilton and dd just prefers the pictures over all of the Hyatt and Marriott. Me, I don't really care, they all look lovely to me. How are they as far as getting to and from WDW? I know the Hilton is right there.

Marriott World Center is very easy to access WDW since it's right on World Center Drive, and convenient to I-4, too. I have only stayed at Royal or Sabal Palms (the timeshare villas that are part of the same property) so I can't speak to the hotel. And I've only been to the stables for the Hyatt (niece was taking a riding lesson) so can't speak to that.

Have you considered doing villas? You may find the cost to be comparable, and you get a lot more useful space, not to mention a kitchen. Also, while I realize your DH is not a Disney type (mine either), you could consider renting points for a Disney Villa. Depending on time of year and who you go through to rent, the price can be very good.

Good luck deciding. Hope you get some more responses.

I like the location of Hilton Bonnet Creek. You are within the gates of Disney. They also have a lazy river and are connected to the Waldorf Astoria. It is also the newest resort.

If want you want space and want to save a bundle, you should look at renting a timeshare villa at Wyndham Bonnet creek. You will get a 2BR for much less than any of your choices. And it's right next door to the Hilton.

We have stayed at the World Center area using the timeshare resorts of Sable Palms and Imperial Palms. Both of those were fantastic. We love to stay at these resorts because it's just outside of Disney gates and the World Center pool is fun for the kids. Also, in case of a rainy or cool day, they have a small indoor pool to enjoy plus a game room. But by far, the location is great for our frequent trips to Downtown Disney.

We've stayed at the Hilton bonnet creek and although we enjoyed it, we are always looking to try something new. After watching several youtube videos of the Hyatt grand cypress, Im pretty fixated on staying there next. The pool there looks phenomenal.

The Marriott World Center just finished a big renovation of the pool/outdoor area, it looks very nice. If you stay there, request a room in the main tower, not the outer wings (those rooms haven't been completely renovated yet).

Thanks for the feedback. I've been so confused and going back and forth. After all that I was playing around on the reservation sites last night and today and booked the Hilton Bonnet Creek.

However I'm still confused. I booked a King Junior suite. However this room isn't described on their web site, even though it came up as an option under reservations. I called HBC and had a hard time understanding the person helping me due to language differences. After a bit of back and forth she said that they are changing their room designations sometime next year. She seemed pretty confident that this is a one room suite that is larger than a regular room and has one king bed and one pull out couch with a wet bar. I hope she's right! We got a view. Of what I'm not sure. I hope it's Disney but really as long as we're not looking at the parking lot or dumpsters we'll be happy.
