Which hotel do you prefer?

Give us a little description of who will be going. Both hotels are beautiful but are totally different. I don't think you will be disappointed with either. HRH rooms are a little larger and the hotel is a little closer to the parks. There is a slide at the pool.

Out of those 2 the Royal Pacific for sure, better price, and I think much better theme, I love the tropical theming, and the pool is awesome, great spot, the lagoon there is also extremely cool with the Howard Hughes Plane in the lagoon. Portofino is actually my favorite, but I usually stay at the RP because its cheaper.

When my wife and I go alone for HHN, we stay at the Hard Rock. When we bring the kids, we stay at the RP.

As a PP said, I don't think you'll be disappointed in either.

We always stay at RPR and pool hop to HRH for the slide and Beach Club.:thumbsup2

Never stayed at HRH as the theme does not really appeal to us, if we where on our own i would go with PBH, but our fav resort is RPR, the themeing and pool is great, and the pool area is always buzzing with activity, where PBH is extremely quiet.always

RPR for us everytime. We have just come back from 14 nights there in August and we truly did not want to leave. It is so beautiful and a very relaxing hotel, whereas we looked around the HRH and PB and both for very different reasons at each did not appeal to us. Not to say they are not lovely hotels, because they are......we just prefer the RP.
But whatever hotel you choose you will not be disappointed. The standards of all 3 hotels are wonderful :thumbsup2

I really enjoyed the RPR with its tropical setting. It was one of the first resorts I stayed at that I wanted to spend time just walking around the grounds.

My daughter 17 on the other hand will fight to stay at the HRH everytime.

We usually stay at the RP too as mentioned, but I think if you took more time to explore the Portofino you may agree that it is the best. I think the pool is a little better, I really like the waterfall over the castle thing, and the ability to swim around it, and the waterfalls in the hottubs to me was a great feature.

I do love the tropical theming at the RP, but we usually stay there just because its cheaper. To me the PBR is a little more elegant luxurious, and just more unique in its theming (plus the rooms are better, larger and nicer beds). I love the theme of the Italian riveria and if you actually look at pics of the Italian riveria it looks almost exactly like it. Awesome.

Another advantage to the PBR is the balconies, not all rooms have them, but if you can get one, they are GREAT, and to me they have the best view, with the IOA lighthouse in the distance.

There are advantages to both, but I think if you actually stayed at the PBR for a few nights you would see the slightly extra appeal. Granted this is all kind of splitting hairs because they are both top notch resorts, with just different themes, but i've always thought the PBR was the best resort in the entire city, but just IMO.

My son really dislikes the "fakeness" of the PBH. His favourite is the HRH. He is 20. I like all three but prefer the PBH, lol.

While I have never stayed at HRH
I have stayed at RPR and after the car service we used this year picked up the wrong bag at the airport and wanted to charge us alot of money to go back and get the right one
The manager at the RPR went out of his way to go to the airport and pick it up for us for free just gave them our buisness from now on and the fact we love everything from the themeing to the great service they provide

We stayed at the HRH this summer and loved it, and can't wait to go back! My 9 & 11 year old sons loved it there.

We stayed at HRH last November and we loved it! My kids are 14, 12 and 6. The pool is great, and the hotel is just a short walk to Citywalk and theme parks.

i have stayed at all 3 hotels.
over 20 stays at hrh...

my vote for favorite, hands down, is RPH

don't let a pool sway you to decide the hotel.
you can pool hop and get towels and water toys at all the hotels if you are a hotel guest at one of them.
