Which "Harry Potter" character does JK Rowling miss the most?

I think we were kind of told that previously. She said something about how writing Dumbledore's death was really hard on her because he was her favorite character. Anyone else remember that?

GMA posted this on Facebook and asked what character everyone else missed.

For me, it's probably Neville. I think we saw his character grow the most over the course of the books and movies. He played a key role in the end of Voldemort by killing the snake. I just loved his sweet character.

I remeber that. Neville also for me...he was so sweet.

I am a big fan of Neville too. And remember, he could have been "Harry". He was also born at the end of July, his parents also were a problem for Voldermort.

I miss Hermione. She was annoying at first to me but I now have a soft spot for her. But I am happy that I now have a new baby and can read all the books to a new Harry Potter lover. LOL. (Like I ever need a reason to read them for the millionth time)

Yes, I seem to remember that she had previously acknowledged Dumbledore as her favorite.

I always loved Neville, as well, and thought his emergence as a hero over the series was wonderful. Plus, wow did the actor who played him grow up to be a handsome young man!

My other favorites were Dobby (what a selfless hero) and Professor McGonnagall (a fierce protector of her students).

Oh so many, lol. ;)

I would love to read about the adventures of Fred and George, like a prequel. I have to say that I enjoyed them so much in the book.

I'm not surprised by this; Dumbledore seems like a fitting favorite character for JK.

For me, I miss Snape. He was by far my favorite character, and imo, the most complex and well written character in the series. Every time I read the books, his death and his memories make me a wreck

That would be wonderful!!! The one I miss even more though, is Ron. He was always my favorite.

I loved Dobby and just boo hooed when he died. I am actually listening to Book 5 right now as I write. :) The kids are just entering Prof Umbridges class for the first time.

How about most hated? Mine is a toss between Umbridge and Rita Skeeter.

Snape. I still cry every single time I see his death and Pensieve scene. I love watching the movies from the beginning and realizing that Rickman was the only one who knew his character's entire story. I love them all though!

Favorite? I liked so many of them, but I guess Neville or Luna. With Luna, I loved how she kept marching to the beat of her own drum, and never let others change who she was.

Least favorite would have to be Umbridge, she was just pure evil.

My favorite would have to be Sirius followed closely by the Trio and Dumbleydore.

i wasn't even that upset when Dumbledore was killed tbh i was more upset about Fred, Hedwig, and Dobby than anything else lol

My two favorite male characters are Neville & Bill (you read more about him in the books & I love that he goes with his Mom to see Harry before the end of the Tri-Wizard Tournament). Females it has to be Hermione & Molly Weasley. Smart & strong & fiercely protective of their families & friends.
