Which handbag would you choose?

I like the first purse better but, I wouldn't buy either of them because they are both too expensive.

Just my opinion but I think the 2nd person is ugly. It looks like something a grandma would carry. Blech!

Another one over the Coach. It's just not my style at all. Take a look at a Kate Spade or a D&B. But you know what you need in a bag!

I would go with the Aingner simply because of the seller. With Overstock.com you know you're getting the real thing!

I like the Dooney bags with the DBs all over them. I tell everyone I had the bag made just for me as those are my initials.

REALLY??!!! I have two purses sitting on my dining table that I am trying to decide between. One is >$500 and one is >$1,000. A <$200 sounds like a bargain!

I know plenty people love the Coach, but I have seen the Coach purse the OP is referencing at the outlet mall in the $100-$150 range. I would not risk buying from ebay where you are risking fakes. If you are willing to spend $150 on a Coach fabric with leather trim purse them take a trip to a Coach outlet.

I don't like either one. Just my preference but I don't care for the "C" design on the Coach bags. If they want me to advertise for them they better be paying me, not the other way around! lol

I have a Tiganello, Bruce Makowsky, and I recently purchased my first D & B (which I love!) The D & B bag I have does not have the logo splashed all over the purse. It is only on the hardware. I used to only buy Stone Mountain purses because I was adament that a good leather purse should not cost more than $100.00. Those days are long gone.

Well, that's nice for you. I wouldn't spend that much money on a purse, either. About $40 is my absolute limit. I could well afford it, but I couldn't care less about overpriced status symbols. The Aigner bag is at least leather, and seems to me to be a reasonable value, but it's still more than I'd personally pay. If you (or the OP) want to spend your money on that kind of thing, that's lovely, but is it really so hard to believe that many people choose to spend their money differently?

I'd choose the Coach over the Aigner. I don't know what it is, but the Aigner just looks kind of... dated, I guess, to me. Too blah.

BUT, if I were going to get the Coach, I'd just go to the Coach outlet and get one. You can normally get a good deal with their extra 20% or 30% off, whatever it normally is - plus then you're guaranteed to have a real one.

Ashley, is there a Coach outlet at Williamsburg? I haven't been to the outlet mall there for a while, so I don't know what stores are there.

And yes, I remember Aigner bags being the "in" accessory when I was in high school, so I know they've been around a while!

Neither. I don't like either of them.

I'm not crazy about the Coach purses...everyone and their sister has one now, so they are losing the "exclusive" feel they used to have.

The second purse looks like something a much older woman would carry.

Do you like Michael Kors or Kate Spade? They both have some beautiful bags.

now, do not get me wrong, I collect bags. I have several coach's but I try to be more...trend setting then trend following. If that makes any sense. I like my style and do not like to get what everyone else has. Even my coach bags are "one or two of a kinds"
but funny you asked, I posted yesterday and no one posted. I found a up and coming artist that makes bags in LA and they have become very popular and I just ordered a bag, it is being made as we speak, and the company contains 4 people at this point, and they are local LA Cal owners.

I was able to speak to the CEO, and customized my bag!
now there are plenty of famous people buying these bags, and I feel like it is a best kept secret at this point...
