If this isn't the right forum, please forgive me and move. :)

We are staying at Pop Century and like most, we want to have food in our room and snacks to take with us to the parks. I've heard a lot about Garden Grocer but heard their selection was small. Amazon Prime can be a little short on the selection side too from what I've seen. Can you recommend one of these or another company? What happens if you order fresh stuff like milk? Does anyone know what the resort delivery fee is and do I need to let POP know beforehand that I'd have a delivery/package on the way?

Thanks, guys! :)

I used We Go Shop while my daughter did the College Program. They pick up from any store you like. We shop at Trader Joe's, so that's where we ordered her groceries. She always met them so I can't help with your other questions.

We researched a bunch and settled on Garden Grocer. I thought their selection was fine and they deliver beer/wine, which was a requirement. Food was delivered to the hotel and bell services had it in our fridge when we returned from the park.

I am trying dizzy dolphin this summer. It was started by DVC members and gets good reviews. Their prices seem more reasonable than garden grocer. They will leave your stuff with bell services and will deliver wine and beer.

I used wegoshop.com for 7 visits with great results. Then owner Amy Peck brought her DH on staff. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will never use them again nor will I recommend them.
GardenGrocer is now my vendor of choice. I have used them 5 years and have been very happy.

I've used GG for four trips and have never had companies about their selection, ease of use, or service. They're fantastic in my experience. PLUS, they deliver beer and wine, and will deliver my order to bell services if I'm not in my room...and bell services keeps cold stuff cold until I'm back in my room and call for them to bring it on up (usually takes 5 or so minutes between my call and the delivery).

I can't talk about Pop, as I haven't stayed there, but I've never had to let the resort know about my delivery ahead of time (at YC, Poly, POR, and BC) and have not had to pay a delivery fee (I think some resorts with convention services have you pay a fee if it's mailed vs being delivered).

We land at 7pm, so it will be late when we finally make it to the hotel - can we get an order delivered the day we arrive, but before we arrive?

Yup. It will get delivered to Bell Services. Bell Services will keep your perishables refrigerated until you arrive. Then once you arrive you can stop by Bell Services and grab your order. Or you can call Bell Services from your room and they will gladly bring it to you.

We have used GG for the past 3 years and have been very pleased with their service. Their customer service has always been excellent and as others have said their choices and up front easy to see prices make life easy. Always well packaged and on time.

My vote is for Garden Grocer as well. We used them for our last three trips and we were very happy with them.

We used to use Garden Grocer all the time, but now that Safeway delivers, I use them. Their prices are much better than GG, they deliver beer and wine, and I had it in our notes for the delivery person to call my cell phone when they were on their way. He called when he approached the resort, so I could give him my room number. He delivered it right to the room. Their prices are basically the same as in the store.

Do not use Orlando Grocery Express. It came recommended to me and I had a discount code from renting a stroller. The day after I placed my order my credit card was shut for fraud. I was getting weird charges from China. I didn't put it together then and just logged on when my new card came to change the payment info. Lo and behold, the next day my card company called me again and I was getting fraudulent charges from electronics retailers. That's when it hit me because I had only used my card to change the payment.

I thought about using Safeway but I think you have to meet them if you order beer or wine. I like being able to send Garden Grocer a copy of my license beforehand and having them leave it with Bell services.

The prices are what get me with GG. A 12 pack of soda was almost $8 and that just hurts my heart. Are all of their prices so high? I understand you're paying for a service but it's not like they aren't charging a delivery fee. I know I can't complain because I COULD go to a store around midnight on my first day but I was hoping for a little affordable. I guess I have to count it as a travel expense.

Garden Grocer is terrific IMHO. We've used them for 8-10 years now with no issues at all. The variety of products available has greatly improved and they take special requests. They offer a discount for ordering early (I ordered yesterday for our July trip and received a 10% discount). Discounts are smaller but available for ordering 15 or 30 days in advance. Their app is easy to use and their customer service is quite good. My order this time around was over $200 (longer stay + more people), so the delivery charge was $2.00. After they've delivered to our resort, we always receive a call or text advising us the food has been delivered. The prices are so-so, but cheaper than Disney. When we have a car, we'll head over to Publix or Winn Dixie, but otherwise GG is a great convenience for us.

They are more expensive than other stores but it's still much cheaper than buying from Disney. We usually go for longer trips and end up spending over $200, so it;[s only $2 for delivery.

Keep in mind each resort has certain delivery "windows" for GG - at least we had one last fall for ours to the BC.

Same thing happened to me this year and I have used them every year for years. I did not realize it was them until I read your post. I just checked and it was one day after putting through my order in early Feb that my bank shut down my debit card for fraud charges. I was so worried I would not get my card in time for my trip. Thanks for posting this as I would have used them again in August!
