Which "fun atmosphere" restaraunt?

If you really enjoy Sc-Fi & Rainforest Cafe, then 50's Prime Time would be my thought......

But to celebrate an anniversary, fireworks from California Grill (or Narcoossee's) seems like an excellent choice too. But somebody else mentioned Coral Reef.....

These would be my suggestions....

I would definitely recommend Whispering Canyon...We just went for breakfast last week and had a blast. It was fun without being crazy and over the top.

I would suggest Biergarten or Coral Reef. Our table at Coral Reef last March was right next to the aquarium. We loved it!

After listening and viewing the thread on the restaraunt interiors I think we've finally decided on the following....

19th Anniversary dinner - Sanaa (It's beautifully done and dd will get enjoyment out of the fact that you can view the animals on the savannah)

FUN ATMOSPHERE - we couldn't decide on just one - and it was hard to select only 2 also so we just might end up adding one more but we are going with two for sure...

Raglin Road has a fun festive dinner atmosphere. PT 50's is always a blast as well as Ohana!

Tusker House - nothing exciting about atmosphere or food
Flying Fish - great food, very expensive (2 dining credits) NO Atmosphere
50's prime time - lots of fun
Don't know much about Tony's but have never heard of it having atmosphere


I agree with other posters, Coral Reef has great atmosphere.

I would also vote for the following
Chef Mickey's - more than just a character experience in my opinion, lots of fun
Whispering Canyon Cafe - different food than 50's but same kind of atmosphere
Teppan Edo - good food, chefs cook right at table & put on a little performance

Whispering Canyon is a lot of fun and eating there gives you a chance to check out the Wilderness Lodge.

Hoop Dee Doo Review is also a good choice. If you have never seen it, I vote for that.

Well, since you said that they wanted to do rainforest but you said no, then I don't see why there would be an issue with your daughter not wanting to experience T-Rex. If you wanted to eat in the parks, 50's prime time is fun. Tony's town square isn't anything more than a pasta place. Coral Reef has great atmosphere.

We ate at Tusker House and while it was okay, it didn't stand out and there wasn't much of an atmosphere for us.
Have you considered the Hoop Dee Doo Revue? It's the most fun meal I've had in my life! They are very interactive and it is a very funny show! It was very 'American' which I LOVED!

50s Prime Time and Ohana Dinner

50s Prime Time does have more 'play' but it depends on your server - and you! But if you are petrified of this sort of thing, don't go here. Of course, you don't have to play but just enjoy their antics. This place is so cool looking and fun with yummy food so I give it a

Ohana dinner is awesome! Yummy food and cool atmosphere. The playful things are more for the kids and not done by your server so you can safely sit in your seat and not worry that someone might want to interact with you. But it does make things more interesting to interact...

We always have tons of fun at Raglan Road, so I'm glad to see so many people have been "cheerleading" for it already.

50's Prime Time is very hit-or-miss. My mom went there once and had the time of her life. When she took the whole family back to it, ...not so much. (The idea is that the servers are sitcom family members and they won't break character for anything. I'm not a huge fan of that kind of restaurant anyway [locally, there's the aptly named Dick's Last Resort, where the servers purposefully act like, well, it is right in the name, just remove the apostrophe...] but our waitress wasn't acting at all.)

Rainforest Cafe always struck me as wikkid wikkid loud (especially after a long day in the parks) with mediocre food, and I can only imagine T. rex would be all that and worse. By the way, who says girls don't like dinosaurs? I'm a paleoartist myself, and isn't the iconic image of the Disney princesses singing with little winged maniraptors on their fingers? XD

Has anyone brought up the Biergarten? (No, I haven't read the whole thread, sorry.) Haven't been there myself but the idea is every day is Oktoberfest.

And one thing I'm sure you haven't considered: a character meal. Make an ADR for one (Akerhause and Garden Grille, both in EPCOT, may be the best) and don't tell anyone what's up. Hilarity, I assure you, will ensue.
