Which floor is best at ASMo ?

I know which buildings I would prefer (Toy Story or Dalmations), but what are the pros and cons of being on the ground floor or upper floors?

Less foot traffic. You won't hear the toilet flush above you. I think you get a better view from up there rather than from the ground looking up. You wont' worry to much about critters who may want to crawl in the room if you were in the higher floor.

We stayed in the Toy Story building last year. If you are looking for a great room, we stayed in 0801. We requested a second floor room facing the courtyard (Andy's room). We didn't want the ground floor. 3rd floor would have been OK. Well, there really aren't a ton of rooms actually IN Andy's room as you can see by this map.

0801 was right on the corner that jets out into the Andy's room. Perfect. I couldn't have hand picked a better room. Tons of Toy Story magic every day when we woke up and got home from the parks!!!!

We liked the 3rd floor Dalmations 1 when I was there, it was very convenient and quiet. We were in 1942, just around the corner from the Elevator and Ice Machine.

Both times we've stayed at ASMo we've had 2nd floor rooms and they've been great. We were very close to the main lobby and the Fantasia pool (first block you come to) but it didn't bother us at all!

There are definitely pros and cons to each floor. I prefer the top or bottom floor. The bottom floor can have more foot traffic, but I've never noticed it. If you are far from the elevators, the walk up the stairs or to the elevators can seem very long after a day in the parks.

We always request top floor. Mainly so we don't hear the noise above us in the morning.

Do any of the buildings have elevators, or just stairwells?
There are two elevators in each building, located next to each other in the center of the building. There is also a staircase next to each pair of elevators, and a room with an ice machine just behind them. There are outside staircases at each end of each building, so if your room is far from the elevators, you can use those stairways.

Actually sorry I did know that, what I was thinking was only in 1 area, in each building but there are 2 elavors.

We stayed in the dalmation building on the second floor and loved it. We were close to the elevator which was great and it was really quiet. Also even though there are not a ton of elevators I never waited once for an elevator, it seemed like we were the only ones there. Mabe we were the only ones too lazy to take the stairs.
