Is it worth it to get a spot 2 hours prior to the first showing or wait until the second one? I was planning on bring a Sheet to lay on the ground to sit on and to stake our claim. Any tips or ideas?

We usually do the second showing, because it's easier to walk up and get a good spot, and it means that we can watch the fireworks from in front of the castle. We like to stand close to the PotC entrance, and as soon as Fantasmic ends, we duck into the PotC line, which is usually really short (like 5-10 minutes). The ride itself is about 15 minutes long, so by the time we get off, the crowds in the area have dispersed, and then there is just enough time to get on a couple more rides before calling it a night.

As long as you can make it to the 10:30 showing, that is a no-brainer IMO. We always do second showing and get there 30-45 minutes early for seats down in front.

well if you are going to be in the park on a Mon or Tuesday nite they have a 11:30 showing we went to that showing last monday nite and got front row seats at the River Belle and ate our snack waited about 25 minutes there were hardly any people there even the people sitting on the ground, was not crowded at all, that ended up being the best view and shortest wait I have ever had for Fantasmic and my kids loved it being able to sit in a chair with no one in front of them:goodvibes

Three showings is rare. I was there on those days last week and I believe it was a response to anticipated crowds from AP holders coming in to ride Nemo before their blackout. I have not checked but I would be surprised if they had 3 Fantasmic shows again this summer.

it was Mon the 25th that we saw the show, at 11:30. It was listed in the times guide for the 25th and 26th of June. don't know if they are still doing it but be sure to look at the time guide that they give you when you enter the park maybe they will still be doing it.

For grins I checked the Fantasmic schedule for all of July and August for all days and there are no days when Fantasmic will have a third showing at 11:30PM. DL can change its mind and change the schedule, but as I said a third showing of Fantasmic is very rare and happens only a few days per year if that.

Onderland, I was there the same time as you. I really wanted to go that third showing but my family was too beat! It sounds like I should have given them some Red Bull and made them go!

Hydroguy is right, that third showing was rare and yet another thing attributed to the Nemo crowds. I wish they did that more often. I could maybe see them doing that Christmas week as well but thats about it.

And I also agree that athe 10:30 showing is always less crowded than the earlier one.

We were there on the 26th for the 11:30 showing and it was great! Not too much waiting time and not crowded at all. We stood on the bridge in front of Pirates and had a great view.
