how could you miss Horizons in the poll!!!?!?!?!??!!??!

That is by far the #1 better extinct attraction than it's overhyped replacement.

Mission:Space has a lot of things, it was uber-exensive to build, has a big name celebrity, pulls lots of G-forces but it feels cold and not much more than a super expensive spin'n'puke. Horizons was sooo much better.

Never went on Dreamflight, World of Motion or Captain EO so I can't judge those.

Alien Encounter isn't that different from Sticth IMO. I can tollerate the Stitch version a little better so I consider it an improvement.

Mr. Toad was fun, but Pooh is a lot better IMO.

Imagination though, I have to say that I did like the original better than any other version of the ride. The new one is definatly a downgrade from the original, but still cute.

I voted for several, but I think that "If You Had Wings" was much better than Dreamflight. :)

Not everyone hated AE, obviously. We loved it. Older kids loved it. We need to remember that WDW is for Families & Families have children of all ages. They took away something that pre-teens & teens liked - the exact market that Universal is gunning for. If WDW wants to keep families coming back year after year, they need to keep stuff for ALL age ranges, not just the younger set.

Besides, Stitch is just a Bad Show. Period. I have yet to hear anyone say they or their kids actually liked it.

My youngest son is a big Stitch fan. He loves Stitch's Great Escape and giggles and repeats over and over in his best Stitch voice: "Missed me, Missed me, now you gotta kiss me." That alone is worth braving the chili dog burp for me.

My bad:confused3

I voted for Alien Encounter and the original Journey Into Your Imagination. Many of the other originals I'm not familiar with. :confused3

I absolutely loved Horizons!!! I like Mission Space but I would like to see Horizons come back.

Thanks,

Jen

When I was a little girl, I distintcly remember one of my first Disney World rides being on 10,000 Leauges Under the Sea. Dad had the book at home and had just read it and I remember thinking it was pretty much the neatest thing next to sliced bread that we got to ride what Dad had just read...

Now that it's gone, I get sad every time.

This completely sums up my experience as well. I remember loving the book, and was thrilled to take the journey under the sea. As a kid, the ride had a profound affect on me. To see it gone (not that I don't love the Pooh playground for my little guy), always makes me really sad :sad1:

I voted for Mr. Toad's. What ever took the place of 20000 leagues?

The old 20000 leagues spot is now "partially" occupied by the Pooh Playground. Although most adults don't think of it as a ride per se, you'd be hard pressed to tell the little ones...

20000 leagues under the sea is basically just sitting in it's own filth at the moment. But the subs at disneyland have reopened with Nemo. Maybe they'll do the same in Florida eventually.

Highly doubtful
They filled it in with concrete and the subs have been dismantled. There is a pretty extensive website that has pictures from the destruction of the ride. It is kind of sad to see it. I’m sure someone will come behind me with the link!

I just said Mr toads wild ride because it is the only one I have seen both the original and the replacement.

I never went to WDW until four years ago, but with all the great comments about Horizons, I'd love to know what it was! Can someone describe it to me, or perhaps show a pic? Thanks! :)

What about Mission to Mars? It preceeded both Alien Encounter and Stitch's Great Escape. I liked Mission to Mars better than either of the replacements, so that's my vote.
