What country would you like to see added to Epcot's World Showcase?

I hear rumors of a possible Spain, but I would love to see India. I LOVE their food! ;)

Funny, my dh and I were just discussing this when we were there Monday night! We thought Ireland would be a nice addition to the World!!

I would like to see Russia added, but I don't think that would ever happen.

From what I understand, Disney is negotiations with Spain for a pavillion.

However, if I were to choose, I would choose Switzerland and have the Matterhorn as the attraction!:)

What about Australia? Or maybe some South American countries like Brazil

How about a South American Country? I'd say that or agree with Australia, since those are the only two continents not represented. Mexico is hardly representative of all South America! I'd suggest Argentina. The steakhouse could rival anything else in The World, and some sort of rodeo event could be the anchor attraction.

By the way, I'd agree with Ireland (I'm Irish!), but isn't that covered by the UK?

I say Ireland as well. In actuality, Ireland is not a part of the United Kingdom, only Northern Ireland. The republic of Ireland is a separate country.

Then I change my vote to Ireland! Further research shows the United Kingdom, by their own definition, includes "the northern 1/6th of Ireland." Thanks for the education!

I'd love to see Australia also! Especially since they stood by us during the war w/ Iraq.

I can imagine Australia. Crocodiles (the Croc from Peter Pan), kangaroos (Kanga's home) and Joey's (Roo), Koala bears, the Outback, Shrimp on the Barbie (Barbie and Ken grill), Aboriginal shows. Maybe The Crocodile Hunter himself could make a few appearences ("Aint she a Beaut").

I think it would be neat.

Ireland, without a doubt!

I was just poking around my ATP at the Tour Guide Mike site, and was soooo bummed to hear that Ireland wasn't in the World Showcase! It's an absolutely beautiful country, and I was already swooning over the thought of enjoying an ice-cold Bulmers (Irish cider ale - yum!) and dancing my little red-headed Irish self into a frenzy with some Celtic tunes!

Slainte! ;-)

Ireland wouldn't even be that hard to add since they could just put it right next to England. There has to be a little bit of space over there to put in a stage. Plus, you could get all the little dancers from the dance studios to come and perform and maybe even have the competitions there. Another plus: another stop in the drink around the world tour!

"Drink Around the World"??? HAHA, that's hillarious! I fully intend to put that experience on my itinerary! ;-)

PS ... Dumb question that prolly shouldn't even be included here: How do you do those cute little trip-countdown meters? I tried to "Search" for the answer in the menu above, but the admin disabled it. *Grumble*

Thanks!

I would like to see any of these countries:

1. Spain
2. Greece
3. Brazil

Maybe even all three! (In my dreams!) They all have great food (tapas, gyros, churrasco, to name a few), interesting cultures, and would make wonderful additions to the WS.

No! Not a dumb question! ;)

Go to the main message board page and look for Private Forums/Tech Support boards. Click on the "Technical Support" board. There should be threads there that will help you out from there. Good luck! ;)

This post walks you through the countdown clocks. And there are no dumb questions here. I'm betting, short of the technical support people that run the board, every countdown clock was preceeded by a post that read "how do you get a countdown clock?" It's a great thing to check every day. If you're close. If you're not, it can be depressing....
