SSR is our favorite. Before we bought, we made a trip to WDW and visited each resort. Really thought the BWV would be the one but as soon as my DH walked past the SSR community hall, saw the bicycles and then the basketball court and the tennis courts beyond, it really was a no brainer for our family. My DH travels for business, so the "hotel" type DVCs aren't relaxing for him. He considers SSR his second home although VGC is closing in (if we didn't live 30 minutes away, it would be our second home) If we don't feel like going to a park one day, there is plenty to do and we walk over to DTD to eat or grill something, sit on our balcony and enjoy the peace and quiet. I have tried without any luck to convince the extended family to try a new resort for our next big stay and to a person they say NO. We are a very active family, runners, walkers, swimmers, and cyclists, so SSR fits our needs for a vacation that happens to be in WDW
You need to know your family and what they enjoy on vacation. That's what is wonderful about DVC, something for everyone.
