Recent life has been breathed into this thread, looking back at results of a survey in 2007 of where Dis members hoped DVC would build next. It proved to be somewhat predictive of what was actually built.

Let's take another poll and see where opinion lies today.

Vote for your top 3.

Somewhere in the North East US. Of course being from NY I'm rather bias to that idea, but it would be nice for Disney to have some presence there.

Thanks Dave. I voted for a Disneyland resort and a new resort along the EPCOT monorail line (I think they could afford the extra track with the current DVC prices).

Is there a reason for not listing the Grand Floridian Villas which seem more likely than the others to be the next one?

I would also have voted for Grand Floridian Villas. As the poll stands, I voted for Poly and a new resort on the EPCOT monorail.

I guess I was counting my chickens before they hatched, as I've bought into the thinking that this is already in the works. I was thinking "where do you hope they'll build after VGF?"

I can't edit the poll, or I'd add it in.

Voted for the Poly and Castaway Cay. Nothing else overly excites me. I love Vegas, but would rather stay in a "Vegas" type resort. Disneyland Hotel would be nice, but I have plenty of points at VGC which I much prefer.

I'd like to see the National Harbor property developed as well as another location in CA that we can plan spur of the moment trips. I'd love to see a place in Vegas where I could spend my points! I wouldn't even need to consider renting any.

CastawayCay:thumbsup2although i doubt the island's facilities could adequately support a large resort:confused3

I would prefer for most of the DVC locations to be in WDW, so I picked DVC Poly and Epcot as my top 2 choices. The Poly is my mom's favorite resort and we've never stayed there, so I'd love to have DVC there so she can stay there.

I also voted for the Caribbean. I love that they're building Aulani, but for East coasters it's a long flight. So a DVC resort in the Caribbean would be a great alternative.

I voted for:

Epcot monorail line

National Harbor

and other

I liked the idea of very easy access to MK and Epcot, and thought that a Poly DVC would be an afterthought, and could be away from the TTC instead of near it. A Epcot monorail line would be a clean slate with any great new idea that Disney Imagineers could conceive.

National Harbor -- Ok, I admit it. I'm a history nut. There are so many things that I want to see and do in that part of the country. I want to re-visit our nation's capital. I want to see Philadelphia and Amish country, and lots of places there.

I said other...because I would selfishly enjoy a DVC home nearer to me on the Gulf Coast, or the Tennessee Mountains, and even though not nearby...I'd love to have DVC in the Big Apple, or on the New England coast.

*I think I would be most likely to buy a contract on a secluded beach on the Gulf Coast if it were done like I like.

My choices:

National Harbor: I would love a "close to home" DVC. The National Harbor location has some great "resort" features. Would love a water park here!

Ft. Wilderness: I love the idea of villas here. So much potential.

Polynesian: I've always wanted to stay at the Poly, if it's DVC, I might actually get to do so!

You have to wonder when the market for WDW DVC will top out? I would really love to see a DVC at Williamsburg, VA!!

Poly or Grand Floridian would be good additions. I like DVD projects that leverage infrastructure of an operating resort. It allows smaller projects to be affordable to operate.
