Which DVC 1 bedrooms have 2 bathrooms?

Hi there. Coming to the DVC experts with a question. I am looking for specific things in an accommodation, and was wondering which specific DVC has what I need. Can be either STUDiO or 1 BEDROOM unit.

-At least 3 sleep surfaces for ADULTS (no kiddie sized beds. An actual twin size is okay.).

-At least 2 bathrooms (this needs to mean 2 toilets, or a way for someone using a toilet to NOT impede on someone who needs to shower). So, like if a toilet is in the same room as a glass door shower and that is the only shower, no go.

-No pull out queen sofa bed. Needs to be an actual, comfortable mattress. The pull down wall beds are acceptable.

So which resorts do I need to be honing in on?

Rivera studios have 2 queens and a twin puld down under the tv. 1 standalone shower and 1 tub/shower combo. Toilet can be closed off from both of those.

Your only rooms with 2 toilets in a studio or 1 BR are the 1 Bedrooms at Kidani and Bay Lake Tower. Unfortunately both of these still have the pull out sofas / chairs.

This sounds like it could work well. Thank you!

Polynesian studios look similar, but is the pull down bed child sized there? I couldn't tell.

This is incorrect. The toilet is in the same room as the glass shower. It can be closed off from the combo shower, but not both showers.

ETA: the flip down twin is also not a full twin. See info from PlanDisney:
  • The pull-down single that you are asking about is considered a “bunk size” and not a twin. From my understanding, this bunk is about 6 inches narrower and 2 to 3 inches shorter than a twin. While it may not work well for a larger adult, smaller adults and kids should be comfortable.

Ugh. Okay. Probably won't work then. Kid is pushing 5'8" at 165 pounds. Are ANY of the pull down beds true twin size? What about the sleeper chair at BLT? We can work with the sofa bed being a pull out if necessary.

Maybe DVC won't work for us then. I guess I need to be looking at 2 rooms somewhere.

Not quite:

In the RIV and VGF one bedrooms, the toilet is in the same room as the glass shower. You have access to the soaking tub and one sink from the bedroom, and the kitchen sink from the LR. The LR has a queen murphy and a twin murphy.

In the RIV and VGF deluxe studios, all 3 sleep surfaces (queen bed, queen murphy, twin) are in the same room, BUT a split bath where the glass shower and one sink are in 1 bathroom space together, and the toilet and combo tub/shower/shower curtain) are in another bathroom space together, and you have a small sink at the kitchenette which is open to the sleeping area. But you do have 2 places to shower and only 1 of them is in the same space as the toilet.

BLT and AKV-Kidani have two full baths and two toilets in the1br BUT the LR sleep surfaces are less desirable - pullout couch and pull out chair.

I don't know about the Poly studio beds as I haven't stayed there.

Cross posted. My 80 year old dad, 5'10" but closer to 140 than 165 spent a week in the twin/bunk Murphy at VGF and he was fine.

Huh. There seems to be some debate on the bed sizes. Even the WDW website in most instances says the single pull down is a "bunk size"

My kids slept on the pull out sofa and in the sleeper chair in their teens and were fine. We bought BLT and AKV because they worked for us.

I do have a skinnier adult man who is also 5'7" but only like 125lbs. So, he could fit probably. Thank you!

Sounds like I need to be looking at RIV Studios or VGF Studios. I really do like the additional amenities of the RIV 1 bedroom, but the bathroom situation is less than ideal.

Why don't they close off the toilet in its own room? So dumb to have it next to the only shower, with a glass door at that. No privacy for taking a shower and someone else using the bathroom at the same time. Frosted glass would have helped immensely. Why does Disney make such poor decisions in rooms meant to accommodate so many people?

Which is what I said. The person I quoted said the toilet could be split off from BOTH showers. I pointed out that was not the case.

BLT is your best bet - the sleeper chair is twin size-ish

I would agree with this if the OP had not said fold out sleeping surfaces would not be an option.

My parents / sister used all 3 sleeping surfaces. My dad said the king bed was great. My mom said the fold out sofa was extremely comfortable. My sister said the fold out chair was manageable (it felt fine to me when I laid on it).

Ah. I see. I fixated on the word "studios" in the quote you quoted.

OP: will also add that ... our family of 4 has one person who ties up the toilet area more than others ... Sometimes he just goes to one of the public rest rooms. in the resort.
