Which DTD hotel?

Hi - we are checking into Bech Club on Nov. 27th. We are arriving (driving our car)) in Orlando around noon on the 26th. I need a DTD hotel for just that one night. Because we have to get to Beach Club early on the 27th to pick up our park tickets, which hotel would be the best to stay in?
I'd like to stay somewhere that is convernient to Beach Club but also somewhere that we will heveplenty to do that first night.

Do you mean which DISNEY resort in the Downtown Disney area, or do you mean one of the non-Disney hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd? The reason I ask is that you ask which one is closest to the Beach Club, and the non-Disney Hotel Plaza Blvd. hotels are basically all the same distance from the Beach Club.

For one night, I'm assuming you mean the non-Disney Hotel Plaza Blvd. hotels. The only one that has an advantage over the others is the Hilton because it allows guests to use the Extra Magic Hour. But seeing as that's your day to drive in, I would pick the one that has the best price.

On Expedia, the rates I'm coming up with:

Courtyard Marriott: $130
Wyndham: $98
Doubletree: $179
Best Western: $119
Hotel Royal Plaza: $149

According to Expedia, you can't book the Grosvenor, or the Hilton for fewer than 3 nights. With those rates, I'd stay at the Wyndham.

I THINK you might be able to get a $20 rate at the Courtyard Marriott by calling them directly. Their number is 1 407-828-8888

If you meant the Disney resorts, it's a moot point because those are booked solid.

Look at mousesavers.com. There are some special rates for the Hotel Royal Plaza and the Doubletree. I don't know if there is a minimum length of stay, but the rates are better than on expedia.

I'm driving down Saturday 10/25 and spending one night at Hotel Royal Plaza for the $61. mousesavers.com rate, then checking-in to Wilderness Lodge Sunday morning 10/26.

I just saw an advertisement for a $59 @ Best Western Downtown Disney...sounds like a pretty good deal too.

travelzoo.com is showing specials for 3 DTD hotels, the best deal in my opinion would be $59 per night at the Best Western to include an upgraded room & free breakfast buffet. they are also showing hotel royal plaza for $79 with free upgrade to a tower room & courtyard marriott for $49. not sure if those rates would be good on the 26th tho since it is the eve of t-giving

I just got back from the BW DTD, where we stayed for 2 nights after 3 nights at ASMu. I got the $59 deal through Travel Zoo. I was disappointed with the room. The faucet in the sink would only dispense burning hot water, the tap in the shower was not caulked and spewed water everywhere during the shower, not to mention that there wasn't even a vent in the bathroom, making for a ton of condensation in the bathroom. I did NOT receive the Preferred Room upgrade....upon check out, I was told that I should have been the one to tell the clerk that I was due an upgrade.......but how would I know which room numbers were preferred rooms? Once I got to the room, I was too tired to switch rooms. The breakfast buffet was decent. Bus service to and from the parks left a lot to be desired........we were packed like sardines. Beware of the "free welcome gift" gift....it's the timeshare pitch....I already knew this so I skipped my "gift". For $59 ($71 after taxes and resort fee) per night, it was only a "fair" experience. My experience at the All Stars was much better and the non-preferred room at BW was only slightly bigger. I wouldn't do it again unless I needed a cheap room at the beginning or end of an on-site stay.
