Which Disney Restaurant to stay away from?

Most posters have good things to say about 1900 park faire in the grand floridian. It is an all you ca eat buffet for about 22 bucks for adults and 16 for kids. Disney kids I think are under 9 though. It has characters for all three meals. with it being on the monorail you can get to it pretty easy

1900 Park Faire only serves breakfast and dinner.... it is closed for lunch. If you want to eat lunch at the Grand Floridian, eat at the Grand Floridian Cafe... it is not a character meal, though!

I may not be the most popular person after I post this, but you did ask for opinions. I know a lot of people like Hollywood and Vine. However, we thought it was AWFUL and will never try it again. We ate at H&V for Thanksgiving and the food was terrible as was the service. The food was cold and bland and the buffet was not replenished very well. The desserts were even bad.

On the flip side, we really enjoyed Mama Melrose, O'Hana, Rose and Crown, and Chef Mickey's. The breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is excellent, although the character interaction wasn't that great.

This trip we are trying Kona Cafe, Le Cellier, and Narcoossee's.

That may well be true... but please don't base you opinion on a Thanksgiving meal, for 2 reasons..

1) The Thanksgiving meal is in NO WAY indicative of the normal menu.

2) Due to high volumes of people wanting to eat Thanksgiving Dinner, it is likely the poor service was due overcrowding at all of the restaurants. Not excusing poor service....

We loved H/V, found the food to be wonderful, and on normal operating days, the service to be great and very attentive.

Some of our favorites are House of Blues, Jiko, Kona Cafe, Spoodles, Rose & Crown Pub and Peco's Bills for great Hamburgers.

One we will not eat at again will be Alfredo's at Epcot. The food was very expensive and you did not get very much food. I can get lots better food at The Olive Garden any time.

Since a previous poster slammed San Angel Inn, I have to speak up. My family had a wonderful meal/time there.

We had a so-so (in the case of my dinner - bad) meal at Rose & Crown.

I'd only go to Coral Reef again for atmosphere - not for the overpriced/nothing special food.

Planet Hollywood, Rainforest and Hollywood I will never go to again. However breakfast in AKL (charter), Dinner at Tony's MK, not for the service but for the pork Lion, The spagetti is just that nothing more other than the fact you spent I belive 17.95 for it. Morrco, can't remember the name of it, belly dancer entertains, took at that time5yodd up to dance with her.:D Japan Mishya , I belive. DH favorite is probally the gourmet Pantry at DTD, go figure.

I absolutely HATED Cinderella's breakfast. The food was terrible. I thought it was going to be a buffet but it was preplated - YUCK!!! Service was terrible. The only nice thing about the experience was the fairy godmother in the lobby. It was not worth the money and certainly not worth the 5 hours of sleep I missed getting up to call for the PS. :(

I do have to agree with other people when they say make up your own mind!! ;)

I'm sorry... please don't hate me!!! :(

I agree with some of the other posters...Eat anywhere that sounds good and try it for yourself.

We loved Nine Dragons while many other's hate it.
Bongo's was great
Biergarten the pits
Coral Reef nice view, overpriced, and not very good
San Angel Inn wonderful
The hot dog carts throughout the parks yummy
Bistro de Paris...Oh My God! (need I say more)

These are just a few but they are different for everyone and different everytime. Have fun and enjoy!

We're going to try as many new places this time as we can...:) :) :) :) :)

I couldn't agree with you more. The last time we ate there I was served a caesar salad that was absolutely covered in parmesan cheese. I spooned off enough cheese for about 4 more salads. Then I found the core of the lettuce in my salad! No the heart, the core. Our server had the nerve to tell me, "That's how we eat salad in Italy". How insulting!

Add that to the fact that the tables are so close together that you feel like you have to include the other diners in your conversation and it is just not worth it to me. I'd rather go offsite and eat at Macaroni Grill.

sillyminny or anyone,

is there a childs menu at 50s Primetime Cafe? I have been looking & can't find one. Thanks!

Hi I noticed alot of NO's for Sci-FI. Many of the negative reviews I've seen ine the posts did not have Hamburgers. However the positive reviews almost always ordered Burgers and shakes and were totally happy.

By the way we went there and had burgers and shakes and it was wonderful.

we have done Sci-fi 2 times. we love it. the food was good but we love the movies and the cars. the atmosphere is great....amy

yes, my DD ate from the kid's menu there in August.

It included :
Mickey pasta with cheese sauce
Mickey pasta with spaghetti sauce (this is what my DD had)
Chicken fingers
PB&J sandwiches

I am not sure if it had hamburgers or hotdogs, though!

The portions are so huge, this time she is going to share with one of us!
