Which Disney Characters Available?

Stitch will be at our reception at ADH, and we're not having anything Hawaiian. He's scheduled to do the cake cutting and dancing with us. :confused3

Odd! My coordinator told me directly that Lilo and Stitch can't be use anymore unless you theme their area..... Oh well. =)

OlivePnut-I see your point, but with that logic, why do they allow Mickey and the rest of the Fab 5? Certainly, their image would be tarnished with such behavior, as well.

Also, the characters come to your wedding with "handlers" just as they do in the parks. So, their interaction is controlled regardless of the backdrop.

And lastly...I must opine that a few people's behavior always ruins it for everyone! :rotfl:

Mickey and the rest are looked at the same way we view actors. It's Mickey as "The Brave Little Taylor" or a cartoon featuring Donald Duck so they view them as more versatile. Some other characters on the other hand are just viewed as story specific. That's why if you take a Disney Cruise you can see the Fab 5 by the pool but characters like the White Rabbit or Cinderella aren't out there doing meet and greets. If you want to see story specific characters on the Disney cruise it has to be inside the ship with the exception of Peter Pan characters because of the ship theme.

As far as the handlers go... there is only so much they can control. A dance floor can have hundreds of people on it at a time... the one handler can't run around to everyone and say "Put down your drink... someone is taking a picture of Jasmine".

Oh... and I also should say it isn't my logic... that's their logic. I'm not makin this up. =)

Did you ask for just Stitch or both? Stitch is often seen in a variety of areas, Lilo not so much so perhaps they were answering for both?

Actually we were just trying to decide which characters we wanted so we asked which ones were available and that is when the coordinator told us about Lilo and Stitch. :confused3
