Every year we buy my kids a Disney book ... we usually go with Birnbaums book for kids but wondering what is the best Disney book? My 7 year old is a pretty good reader so it doesn't have to be just for kids, but easy to read!

Suggestions?

I love the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World...Prob. the best book out there...Have Fun!

I like the Imagineering Field Guides. They're compact and easy to take along. I'm not the best judge, but it sounds like the 7-year-old would be able to read them.

Wow! What a blast! I spent hours at a time testing my Disney trivia knowledge and enjoyed every challenging minute of it. Louis Mongello has compiled a extraordinary amount of fun facts in this addictive book guaranteed to delight anyone who is a Walt Disney World fan. Definitely worth every penny.
Cara Goldsbury, author of "The Luxury Guide to Walt Disney World".

Passporter and The Complete Guide to Walt Disney World are the 2 absolute best books out there in my opinion. The Passporter has lots of useful information and pockets and stuff useful in planning your trip. The Complete Guide is a full-color book with hundreds of pictures and descriptions of all the attractions.

My DD8 has this book and LOVES it, she always reads it on the plane and makes notes of what she wants to find while we are there.

DD10 has the Hidden Mickey book which she has been reading/bringing with us the last couple of trips. Everytime we are in a line waiting for an attraction, she likes to read to find out where the different hidden Mickey's are so we can find them ourselves.

I get the Unofficial Guide for myself, for a kid I would get the regular version of Birnbaum's. It has more info then the kids version but still has a lot of pictures.

Just keep in mind this book is dated a bit and some of the things mentioned are no longer available.

Is the book called Wow! What a blast!? Is it out of print? I searched on amazon and couldn't find it. TY

I bought the unofficial guide in the past and I liked it.

Another vote for "The Complete Walt Disney World" -- I love it, and DS6 (who is a good reader) enjoys it as well. :)

I LOVE The Complete Guide! I think it would be great for kids too. Lots of picture and lots of information!

We just LOVE the Unofficial Guide in our house. I like to read them all, but I find that the UG has the best, most complete information.

Except for the Disboards, of course:love:

For a kid, The Complete Guide is a great suggestion--lots of information in an easy-to-read format with great photography.

For an adult, The Unofficial Guide is hands-down my go-to book. I also like Passporter.

We love Passporter. It is a reputable guide, easy to follow, well organized, and not too big. Most of the pages are in color. It also has journal pages and storage pockets.

For myself I also love The Unofficial Guide and Passporter. My son really enjoys reading the Unofficial Guide with Kids and the Color Companion.

I bought The Hidden Magic Of Walt Disney World by Susan Veness. It is ideal for a east read and is fun to do round the parks.

I love the Unofficial Guide! I had the 2010 version and sold it and just purchased the 2012 version that will be here tomorrow. I can't wait :).
