**September Check In Thread**

Sept 11-15 with youngest son (6). Mom and son trip It’s his first time! I’ve taken my older son many times, but my youngest needed more time to get ready (sensory challenges).

Side note- @Tinkaboo I love your recent trip report!!!

Going for my son's 2nd birthday and his first Disney trip.
Staying at Camelot Inn across the street.
hoping that Radiator Springs and Incredicoaster will be back up for my husband though.
missed out on getting ticket s for OBB for the 18th, but with this being a 1st trip for my son, thinking that it is for the best, don't want to over do it for him.

Traveling with our best friends 18th - 20th. Husband and best friend turning 60. 4 day cruise before and straight to GCH. We did Disneyworld together 5 years ago, so west coast this time.

I’m a bit sad we’ll likely miss Radiator Springs Racers too. Hopefully you guys catch it! Being my son’s first time as well I know there will be so much I’m ok with it. I opted not to get Oogie Boogie tix as I thought it would be a lot for my son too.

Reservations.. has anyone been lucky for the month of Sept to secure a res for Trader Sams? I’ve been practicing and good every year but it hasn’t shown up for me. Was wondering if anyone else had trouble maybe something changed I havent been since 2023. Thx!!

Last year the reservations for Trader Sams came up very early, not at the usual drop time. One day I saw them going live 11 AM my time, so 2 AM California Time.

Same issue here! I tried at 9PM the night before our 60-day period, then again at midnight, 2AM, 3AM, and 4AM 60 days out, but the reservation portal did not open early. Then right at 6AM when I refreshed, the reservations were all gone.

I just checked at 5:30AM this morning; the reservations had released early and were already gone! Does anyone know at what time they went live? I may try one more time for our September trip.

How did you know they were already gone..? It was much harder this time than it had been on prior trips for the last couple of days in August! We managed to get one, but only one (kept trying as the time is bad, but what can you do?).

I could tell because the day wasn't greyed out: I could click on the date and it showed no reservations available.

This summer *does* seem much more difficult somehow. On our last trip three years ago we had no trouble reserving Trader Sam's.

My sister and I will be there Sept 6-8 for the half marathon. Only park day will be Sunday after the half so just doing DL. Lunch reservations for Cafe Orleans so far is the only plan. Can’t wait to see the Halloween decorations!

This will be our 5th trip to Disneyland, and are staying the the new Villas for the first time.
