I get the Palmolive or Ajax dishsoap for a price match at Wal-Mart. We have a collection of dish soaps. I do get Dawn when its on sale.

I use Dawn, the regular blue bottle and sometimes switch up different scents but always Dawn.

Palmolive Orange! It's the best. I can't stand Dawn, I don't feel like it works as well and it doesn't suds up the same either.

J.R. Watkins Lemon scent. We have very hard water but it seems to work and suds pretty well anyway, and the bottle I bought 3 months ago is still half full.

Dawn Ultra. It's true what they say about it being tough on grease. It's the only thing that will clean the grease off of the hood over my stove. I'm loyal to three detergents--Dawn, Cascade powder for the dishwasher, and Tide for clothes. And FYI, if you use Calgon water softener powder, it will make the dish water not as hard.

I buy the big jug of Dawn at BJ's or Costco and use it to refill a handsoap dispenser that I keep by the kitchen sink for dishwashing and greasy hand washing. The Dawn bottle, even with the squirt top, always distributed more than I needed, which was a waste. The heavy jug was even worse to control. Plus, the handsoap bottle looks nice on the counter with the bright blue detergent inside.

The jug lasts several months, but I do put a lot of things into the dishwasher, so we don't do as many dishes by hand.

My mom always used Palmolive liquid. It makes my hands develop little white blisters for some reason. My MIL always used bars of Ivory soap, which we also have by the sink. DH uses the Ivory, I use the Dawn. As long as the dishes come clean, who cares?

Another vote for the original green Palmolive. I have very few things that I'm brand loyal to. That would be one of them.
