Which party offers best vale?
best food option?
I'm thinking possibly the frozen ever after party because good seating plus alcohol!

opinions please!

Depends on your priorities...is it best viewing spot? best food? alcoholic drinks? tables and chairs? They all have their pros and cons it just depends on what you're looking for.

For us, dessert parties are all about the reserved seating/standing area and views. The food and/or alcohol is not a big draw and if you're looking to find value in the food, I think you will be disappointed. Also, I've found that they don't really save much time over camping out and finding a spot on your own. They do however keep people from practically sitting in your lap while you are waiting which is a huge bonus for us.

I think what I'm mostly looking for is the viewing area secluded away from crowds! anybody know the alcohol @ the frozen party? food is just icing on the cake.

We really enjoy the dessert party for the Star Wars fireworks over at DHS. The food was good, alcohol was included, there was some neat interaction with some Storm Troopers & such. Then the viewing area was great. It was a separate section at the very front. There were no chairs, but our entire group sat down so you could still sit to watch the show. Plus you get a nifty souvenir stein to take home.

Food and Alcohol :1st - DHS, 2nd - Epcot, 3rd - MK(no alcohol)
Viewing Location : 1st - Epcot (direct center of WorldShowcase opposite American Pavilion, 2nd - MK slightly off center to the right in the field in front of castle, 3rd - DHS directly after the Chinese Theater, behind where the move-able stage is...almost too close.

Extras - DHS - M&G with BB8, Chewy, Stormtroopers interaction, Kylo Ren and you get a stortrooper stein...Epcot - Walk on FEA ride

This is the way I would rate them, but it is obviously subjective.

I'm not sure any of them are considered a "value" but I love them only because they are not crowded. For the Frozen party, they offered a couple different wines and a few different varieties of canned beer. I enjoy sitting down and sipping on a beer while watching the fireworks. The Frozen party is my favorite because you sit down right by the showcase lagoon.

We are doing HEA since we are going during MVMCP and I read MK is a nightmare during HEA on a non party night. I'm sure we will be grateful to have our reserved viewing area and not be squished in like sardines.

We have done 4, the old illuminations on at EP, Star Wars, Frozen and MK. Hands down my favorite overall was Frozen.

Frozen had reserved seating, the food was decent, they had wine, beer and a couple of strong (alcohol tastes) themed cocktails, the view was excellent and we really had a great time.

Star Wars would be second, the food was my fav out of all of them, I liked that there were some nice savory options, but I am short and actually had issues seeing the show.

MK I would not repeat, did not think the value was there.

Is the JBJB dessert party similar to the Star Wars one, as far as the seating area and location of the viewing area? How would y’all rate that one?

My kids and I are torn between then Frozen one at Epcot (we all love Frozen) and the JBJB one at HS (we love Christmas too!)

Is the JBJB show that great to warrant the cost?

While they do patrol the SW dessert party area, you don't need to attend the party to get Stormtrooper interaction or M&G with the other characters, that's part of the Launch Bay's entertainment and takes place all day inside the Launch Bay and the Animation Courtyard. Recently a dedicated meet & greet with Kylo Ren was added as part of the dessert party.

They're nothing alike.

In my completely objective opinion and because of the season, it's the most enjoyable dessert party.

No, the actual party is the main reason to attend.

Disney Food blog just posted about this today:

I haven't done any, nor do I have the disposable income to do so, so I don't have an opinion. Good luck!

Do any offer sparkling wine anymore? We really enjoyed the DL dessert party a few summers ago, but that had the seating, savories AND champagne. Well worth it there...

We did the MK and Star Wars ones. For me, MK hands down. I hated that there was no seating at the sw one for while you were eating.

You could leave the area and hope to find a seat. There are only a few benches, they wouldn’t let people sit on the edges of the steps and the floors were dirtier than outside.

I really love the Plaza Gardens. We found a great spot a few minutes before the projection show and sat for both. I guess sitting after a long day in the parks is big for me.

Part of my preference though is I like the MK fireworks much more than the sw show. I wish they still did the sw fireworks they had for a short time a few years ago. One of my favorite Disney shows ever.

That's no longer the case. The party was recently upgraded with a number of enhancements, seating being just one of them.
