Which Deluxe to try?

My aunt, best friend, and I are going to Disney World next May. My aunt has been once, she stayed at the ASMo. I've been three times, ASMo, ASMu, and what used to be Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans). My friend has never been there. We've been saving money and are ready to splurge on a deluxe hotel. We're caught between three of them though, and can't make up our minds (meaning they don't care, and I want to try them all). So, which is your favorite? The poltnesian, the Contemporary, or the Wilderness Lodge? What are the pros and cons of each?

I really like all three of them (Polynesian, Contemporary, and Wilderness Lodge), but if I were to pick one I would say the Contemporary. I liked the Polynesian a lot, and the Wilderness Lodge was a blast, but the Contemporary really is more my style.

Are the 3 of you planning to share a room? If so, then choose the Polynesian or Contemporary. The rooms there are much larger and more comfortable than those at WL (which is also nice). The Polynesian is a bit more expensive than the Contemporary (depending upon view, tower vs wing, etc) but IMO definitely "worth it". A stay at the Polynesian is like a vacation within a vacation.

I've stayed at all three and you really can't go wrong. It really is a personal taste choice. I didn't like the Contemporary too much because it didn't really seem to be themed as much as the Poly and WL. Poly might be a good choice because of the big rooms, but WL would most likely be cheaper and also has very nice theming.

The money isn't a huge concern. We're looking to splurge, and planning on spending way too much money. My aunt and I stayed at ASMo this summer, and she decided that the deluxe hotels were worth the money. She has the money and no kids, so she's not trying to budget for kids and stuff. She's of the "can't take it with you" bent and doesn't like most of her family much, so she's not leaving much behind...

Our first deluxe was Wilderness Lodge, we stayed there 2 years in a row. Than we moved onto Polynesian, my next trip will be the 3rd year in a row we've stayed there. It's hard to go back to WL.

I highly recommend the Polynesian resort I've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and we enjoyed it very much, but we LOVE the Polynesian and it's our favorite!!! As for the Contemporary, I think it'd be fun to stay in the tower (main building)....once.... but otherwise the theming and feel of the resort is not my personal taste.

I agree 100% with SeaSpray. As much as I want to stay in the Contemporary, I dont think I can give up staying at Poly.

We really like the Poly and CR!( GF is actually our favorite,though!)

Stayed at the WL and loved it but I would really be tempted to be at a resort on the monorail.
