Anyone have any opinions about which delux pool would be less busy. Seems alot of posters talk about the Poly and I get the impression that that would be the busiest. Is GF less busy because of less kids? How about the CR because it looks quite unthemed. Wilderness Lodge looks small. Thanks for any opinions.

They all tend to get busy - particularly in the heat of summer or any of the busy times -- Spring break, Thanksgiving/Christmas, etc. I'd have to guess that GF is one of the quiter ones (although I'm sure it can get just as busy as any of the other's ) but the easier answer here is actually to "which resorts pools are busiest?" and the answer to that IMHO would be SAB at Y&B,the volcano pool at the Poly (tends to get alot of pool crashers from what I hear, The main pool at WL (I hear alot of people from FW crash their pool too  and the main pool at BW with the Keister coaster slide. Beyond that, they all get busy at high crowd times of the year but I'd say any of the quiet pools at any of the resorts would be quieter than the main pools.

The volcano pool at the Poly isn't very large, so that's why it seems crowded. When we stayed at the GF there were plenty of kids, including ours. :) We mostly swam at the pool right outside of Boca Chica, since it was fairly low key and convenient.

Is the pool bigger at GF? Why don't they have wrist bands like they do at SAB at the other pools? It doesn't seem right that people from other resorts can crash and get something they didn't pay for. Wouldn't the wristbands eliminate this problem, or is it almost impossible to enforce?

The pool with the slide at GF is about the same size as the volcano pool at the Poly -- and the courtyard pool at the GF is large but it's just a pool, no slides or waterfalls and such. As for wristbands at SAB, SAB is more like a mini-waterpark. It's really the best pool on WDW property and until they initiated the posting of CM's at all enterences and needing to show I.D. for staying at Y &B and BCV's and began to issue wristbands - it was probably the most crashed of all the pools:rolleyes: While it definetly would eliminate pool crashing to have all the pools in WDW issue wristbands, I don't see it happening any time soon as I don't think Disney thinks the problem is that out of hand and for the most part unless it's a really busy time (such as Easter or july 4th) it probably isn't. I'm a DVC member and we are alloud to pool hop and although they don't issue wristbands anywhere other than SAB, I have seen the CM's ask for i.d. AND ask people to leave after finding that they are not entitled there.

Do you mean you can pool hop to the DVC's pools or to all of them? So if you were at BWV's you could come to SAB and use their pool?

DVCers can pool hop to any pool EXCEPT storm along bay. There are also times of the year where we cannot pool hop at all (usually around Easter and in the Summer).

We must have our DVC card with us or we got tossed out like anyone else.

Just to clearify, DVCers can't hop to AKL, either. The quiet pool at BC is excluded, too.
