We (me, DH, DS-9mo at the time...and extended family) will be staying at DLH Jun 28-Jul 1 and we have 2-day park hoppers. Since we arrive on Sat the 28th (10am) I am not planning on using that as a park day. My immediate family (DH & DS9mo) and I will be coming in from Boston...whoa, jet lag with a baby!

Would you go to the parks Sun/Mon OR wait an extra day to get acclimated to the time (most worried about the little guy) and lounge around the pool/hotel then go to DL/DCA Mon the 30th/Tue the 1st?

Just writing this out I think I know what the answer is (go Sun/Mon) but our flight on Sat is at 7am out of Boston...meaning the little one will be in the taxi at 4:30 (which is 1:30 in CA!) so it'll just be a really long, confusing day I think and I don't know he'd be recovered enough for Mickey fun the next day. :confused3

Disclaimer: we aren't going all Disney commando this trip with DS, so there'll be lots of nap time and pool time back at the hotel no matter what days we're at the park, just wanting your advice if you have any thoughts. TIA!:)

I suggest getting 3 day or even 4 day park hoppers and on that Sunday, sleep in and have breakfast in Downtown Disney and then go to California Adventure and then relax by the pool and have dinner. Then on Sunday and Monday, go to Disneyland. Adding the extra day to your tickets will give you more flexibility. Magic Morning - early entry is on Sunday and Tuesday on your trip. If you got 4 day hoppers, on that Saturday, you could take a nap after check-in, have a nice lunch and lounge by the pool and then maybe do a few rides and have dinner in Disneyland.

Even though 4:30am is 1:30 CA time, that doesn't matter. What matters is that on Sunday morning when you guys are getting up at your normal time (pretend it's 8am), that's 5am CA time, so you're ahead of the game! So while others are struggling to get up for MM, you have been up for a couple of hours.

The time change works to your advantage, so use it.

And I really woudln't bother getting onto CA time, not for such a short trip.

And if you don't bother getting onto CA time, then it won't be affecting the baby, unless baby is really affected by light/dark, that is.

Go on Sunday for MM, go on Monday...oh gosh you get in at 10am on Saturday? Take a nap, get another day or two on your tickets, go on Saturday! Everything is so, relatively, close, and the more days you have on your tickets, the less chance you'll forget those rest hours, and the more relaxed you'll be in the parks. :)

Have fun!
