Which day to book MNSSHP?

We're going to be staying at the Vistana Villages from Oct.2-9th. There's a MNSSHP on the 3rd and the 8th. If we went on the 3rd it would be my kids' (8,6&4) first ever time at WDW (we'd just hang out at the hotel during the day and go only for the party) and if I booked the 8th it would be our last night there (we'd spend the day packing up to leave the next morning and would try to stay the whole party). Which would you do?

It's a Sunday nite. The 8th is a Friday night and they tend to be more crowded than the weeknights.
