We're going to US/IOA for the first time in a couple of weeks. If you had to choose days to visit those parks, which days would you choose? We can go any day between Sunday and Thursday.

PS... would you skip IOA if you have a non-thrill seeking 7 year old and parents who can't ride Forbidden Journey.

Thanks so much!!!! : )

I would go on Tuesday/Wednesday to keep the crowds at an absolute minimum. There are still fun things to do at IOA that your family will enjoy...go if you have the chance. This is your first time so make sure you experience as much as you can. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure, but we're going on a wednesday! I would go even if you aren't doing the big thrill rides. We will be skipping the roller coasters ourselves. But I still want to go to see it all and decide if we like US as parks.

Thanks guys. That's what we'll do. Just needing a second opinion I guess. I know we'll be glad and enjoy both days!

IOA has lots of fun things to do even if your family are not big thrill seekers- there's super hero island, seuss' landing, and the area of Jurassic Park, and you can still explore the Harry Potter area. It's definitely worth stopping over and it's really a beautiful and whimsical park- much prettier to me than US.

I was there in June and heard that the Sunday before our visit was not crowded. People walked right into WWoHP and right onto rides. I liked IOA better than the other park. Loved WWoHP. If you read the books it is worth it even if you don't go on the rides.

Another thread called Live From US and RPR talks about 120 minute lines, sounds like it was Wednesday. This is the middle of mad tourist season, expect crowds no matter what day you go. Don't be one of those families that likes to sleep in and stroll on in at 11am unless you are staying on site. The early bird gets the short line.
