There are some slight differences In the calendars, which do you find to be the most "accurate?"

EasyWDW, no question. I had both Easy and Touring Plans for a trip last year, and Easy was spot on.

So do you feel touring plans wasn't accurate?

We followed EasyWDW recommendations all but one day. And according to Touring Plans, that one day should have been fine for the Magic Kingdom. It wasn't. It was such a zoo we ended up hopping over to Epcot.

I have subscribed to Touring Plans every year for the last few years and I have found them to be very accurate. Spot on actually. I always follow the best and worst park recommendations and we have never run into a crowded park.

EASYWDW and TP usually conflict so I go with the paid site. I feel they have much more accurate information. I think you get what you pay for.

Both are accurate if you use them correctly.

EASYWDW is much more like the Tour Guide Mike park recommendations. And that was the only thing I found worthwhile at TGM. Of course, not worth what you had to pay. IMO, that is why Easy WDW is popular.

Touring Plans (The Unofficial Guide) is based on a whole different theory. If you read through how it is calculated and understand it, you'll find that it is pretty spot on.

BUT, that is the key. Each calendar is arming you with different information. Used together, you can't go wrong. The lazy way of doing it (the way I do it), is use Easy WDW to pick your days. Just use Touring Plans/UG to decide between ties and how to tour your park for the day, or if a park you're forced into for the day just doesn't fit.

So just because Josh doesn't charge, that makes his information less accurate?

Nope!!! I have looked at both for last three trips and Josh was ALWAYS right!!!!

This is the last year I will pay for touring plans. But I love the books. Won't be getting those anymore now that we know what to do.

Don't misunderstand me - I'm a big fan of Josh. I just meant that I think it's unfair to assume that just because he doesn't charge for his information that it's somehow less accurate.

I know, just showing others that FREE can really be FREE!!!! I think that is why people don't believe it.

October 2011 we started following TP because we paid for it, and while their app with wait times was cool, the parks were CROWDED. on about day 5 I looked at easywdw and followed Josh, and FINALLY the crowds looked good.

Checked again last April and AGAIN, Josh was right. So now when TP subscription runs out I will NOT renew.

I use WDWeasy to plan my itinerary and TP to make touring plans based around that itinerary. Works out nicely for us. :thumbsup2
