Which conspiracy theories do you believe?

You get the American people to get behind it. And you get young boys to feel patriotic and want to help so you get a huge increase in military enlistment. Like my XH did 2 weeks after 9/11.

Again they didn't need 9/11 for that. Sure your XH signed up 2 weeks after 9/11 but there are other ways to boost the military and get people behind a war with out need to kill your own citizens.

If you believe your own government is killing its own citizens why do you stay living there? If I ever thought that I would be burning by flag and getting out of dodge.

This x1000.
that's what I don't get about some of these conspiracy theories. If you *really* believe your own government would intentionally kill thousands of people, then how do you even function every day? I would be literally doing everything possible to get out of the country and save myself and my family.

The Bowling Green Massacre is real I tell ya!!!! Why has the conspiratorial media not covered this? I know. I was there. The date was 9/10/11. It happened and don't tell me different. None other than our own U.S. Navy went in to Bowling Green Kentucky and slaughtered those poor defenseless hill toppers.

And the final score was 40-14.

I believe 9/11 happened. No doubt about it. I believe our government had a lot to do with it. There's big money in oil and war.

This!! OMG. It's one thing to be gullible, or even curious. But to seriously believe that your country is capable of this frustrates me.

I guess aircraft incidents tend to bring out the conspiracy theories, especially since debris tends to spread due to any number of factors. A Harley-Davison motorcycle from Japan washed up in the US after a tsunami. Still - the conspiracy theorists want to believe that it should be a very controlled debris field.

The one I remember from my youth was the Korean Airlines 007 flight from Anchorage to Seoul. A travel-agent relative booked people on that flight and he was pretty emotional about it. The conspiracy theories include a US backed incursion to test Soviet air defenses, or that there was some sort of covered up air battle between US and Soviet aircraft and the shoot down was a mistaken hit of a civilian aircraft. The other thing was that it did fly for quite some time after the missile hit, and the engines were undamaged (from the flight recorder audio provided by the Russians years after the breakup of the Soviet Union).

Several books could be written about the various conspiracy theories surrounding President Obama.

I believe pharmaceutical companies try to stop finding cures for diseases so they can profit by keeping people sick and dependent on prescription drus for years and years...

Another disgusting post. How sad to go through life believing the worst in people. FTR, I know people in the pharma industry (research and upper management) and they are good people who truly want to help.

I really don't buy into them. Most of them are so far out there, they are laughable. However, I do believe that our military shot down Flight 93 over PA.
The first two F-16s that were scrambled were unarmed. There wasn't enough time. The pilots were Heather Penney and her Commander. They knew what they had to do. She said that he looked at her and said "I'll take the cockpit, you take the tail'"

Ridiculous, the hijackers would have been given fake identities tying them back to Iraq. There would have been phony cables directly tying Iraq and Sadamm to the attack. WMD's would have been found (because we planted them) and Bush would have won in a massive landslide in 04'.

Except we never did go after the Saudi's oil,
and Afghanistan really doesn't have any. And even after we ended up in that boondoggle in Iraq, we never got that oil either.

So, while I can't completely dismiss some form of conspiracy, I've pretty much ruled out oil.

We also have to remember the wheels were in motion for 9/11 under one president and it actually took place under another. So, I think that kind of rules out anyone at or near "the top".

Not to mention we were pretty much told from relatively early on that 9/11 was Al Qaeda not Iraq though right? It was weapons of mass destruction used as the excuse to go to Iraq.

Yep, it's as if these people think somehow people working for "big pharma" are immune from cancer.....So everybody in on the conspiracy has never been touched by cancer or willing to "spill the beans" for the benefit of curing themselves or someone close to them?

I also hate that people think all cancer is the exact same and therefore we can cure all cancer exactly the same. I don't think finding a cure for all cancers is going to be attainable. Cancer is found in all animals not just humans and sometimes the "cure" kills the "host" so it may just be an unfortunate part of our existence here on earth. This is coming form someone who has had way too many family members battle the nasty disease.

I agree with you 100%. I was in the business for years with poor scientists fighting the good fight. Hospitals included in the greed. Johns Hopkins on down. There is no money in a cure.

I also think the Pink Ribbon campaign is the biggest scam ever. Playing on the heartstrings of cancer victims and their families everywhere.

So did anyone ever figure out what our countries were doing bombing the crap out of Afghanistan and Iraq? I know military soldiers that were there that still have no clue.

I'm pretty sure that in Afghanistan the link was that the Taliban was harboring key members of Al Qaeda - especially Bin Laden. There's really not much controversy over that. However, invading Afghanistan meant destabilizing what they had there, regardless of how bad it was.

Iraq's connections to Al Qaeda are more tenuous. Nothing really other than a hope that maybe something would be found. There were uncorroborated claims of an official link.

Although they eventually realized Bin Laden was never in Afghanistan. And yet, troops remain there. Actually much controversy.
