We'll be bringing DS and DD, both 28mos in October for their first trip!!

I'm trying to decide on character meals. What are some faves? Also, is there a Princess meal that they will get? I think DD would love to see some princesses.

Feel free to add in any suggestions, even non-character. Thanks!!

Akershus has princesses. We did that for breakfast and we liked it.
Chef Mickey's has the main ones - Mickey, etc.
She liked Teppen Edo - watching the Chef was fun for her.

Suggestion - make sure you have 'back-ups' to your character meals, and plan them a little later in the week. In Aug my DD (23 mths) wasn't scared of the characters. In Jan (25 mths) she was PETRIFIED of the characters (Mickey, etc. princesses were ok with her). I would first try to go see them in person, w/o going to a meal. If they do ok, then do the meal. If not, then go to your alternate. (When I say Petrified - she was holding onto my shoulders sobbing and my shirt was soaked. This was our first day w/ the Play N Dine breakfast at DHS).

Hopefully she'll do better this next time in Aug. :woohoo:

The Crystal Palace at MK has Winnie the Pooh characters.
Hollywood and Vine has Playhouse Disney characters for bkfst and lunch.

1900 Park Fare has a great character breakfast....they had the Pooh characters which our 2 year old loves. They also had Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins which are cast members a (not costume characters) which seemed to not scare our little one as much.

The food was also great! Very loud though so be ready for organized craziness!

Enjoy!

We haven't been (yet) with kids but we're taking our DDs when they are 2 1/2 and almost 4. The ones we have planned are:

Akerhaus breakfast
Crystal Palace lunch
Cape May breakfast
Chef Mickey breakfast
1900 Park Fare dinner

(We happen to have more bkfst b/c we're not on the dining plan and I'm nervous the girls will be cranky/tired by dinner time! haha) We also plan alot of buffets since our 2 yr old will eat for free at those AND b/c there is enough selection that my picky little eaters will have full tummies when they leave. I DO think we'll do one of the princess meals FIRST (Akerhaus or 1900PF) just b/c the characters are "people" and not gigantic cartoonish figures. Figure it may be a better way to warm them up to seeing how large the characters are.

We have done almost every Character meal with our son. Hes almost three but brought him at 1-2.

He loves Liberty Tree (no characters anymore, damn I miss that place and the characters!)
Crystal Palace was a hit.
Ohanas with Stitch was good.
Askerhus was awesome! Having Mary Poppins all to himself before going in was incredible!
Hollywood and Vine, we did 2 times he loved it!
Donalds Breakfast was good as well but a little rushed.
Garden Grill...he loved as well!
